ST. LOUIS (FinalCall.com) - A capacity crowd at the New Northside Conference Center greeted the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan June 2, as he told them that leadership is a “sacred trust” and that submission to God is the key as he spoke on the theme: “Surviving the Times: Reclaiming Our Youth.”

Often, Minister Farrakhan’s messages to the youth are more directed towards their parents and the elders of the community because it is the Minister’s consistent position that God created this generation for a special purpose, and they are only products of what the previous generation failed to do.

“We dropped the ball,” said the Minister to the older people in the audience. “See the White man made us into himself, but you produced children that are a little different than you,” he added.

He said the clothing styles and the types of music change with every generation, and the defiant spirit of the youth is unique.

“Every generation has its own style,” said the Minister. “We don’t like it, that your pants are under your behind and your underwear are showing. That’s a prison style,” but the children should not be condemned nor judged.

Some pastors, because of the way the youth talk, dress and act, are afraid to approach them. He also warned those spiritual leaders in the community that are not interested in the youth because they don’t have enough money to tithe. This self-serving attitude could have dire consequences, he warned.

A capacity crowd at the New Northside Conference Center heard Minister Farrakhan on June 2, 2013.
“So you leave them out there wild and crazy, but they’ll soon come in the church and kill the preachers. That’s why I’m telling you, you can’t be an imam or minister and stand behind the pulpit and all the hell that is going out the streets and you are standing in church among the saved,” said the Minister. “Get your behind out in the streets where the problem is and sit down and talk to your people and witness to your people with the good word of God!”

The valley of decision, revealing Satan

Minister Farrakhan spoke into the issue of homosexuality, which appears to be running rampant in the Black community. He rejected the claims of those who call him homophobic.

“I love you brother and I love you sister, you are my family; I’m not here to condemn you,” said the Minister. “I’m not afraid of you; I’m afraid for you because as it was in the days of Noah, as it was in the days of Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man.”

God killed all of the people in Sodom and Gomorrah and never let a blade of grass grow there again, he said.

“If I am from God, I have to preach what God says and put you in the valley of decision!” the Minister said.

In conclusion, he addressed the specious claims of anti-Semitism pointing out that there is a difference between observant Jews, and those written of in the Bible, Revelation 2:9 and 3:9 dealing with the members of the Synagogue of Satan. These words are available in the Bible that many have at home.

“Satan is real,” said the Minister. “Two weeks ago, I started talking—from Revelation—on my broadcast on the Synagogue of Satan and you could hear a howl coming up like I had thrown a rock in the midst of some jackals and hyenas.”

The Minister again challenged Abraham Foxman of the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith and any other powerful Jewish leaders of organizations who represent the wicked Synagogue of Satan.

“You don’t hear any pastor talking about the Synagogue of Satan! Why not? If it’s the words of Christ, why are you afraid to preach it? Because you know you are in bed with them! And you know that if you preach that, they’re going to call you an anti-Semite and all that goes with that which I have been suffering now for thirty years!”

The Minister said he knows there is a price to pay for his revelation of Satan, and he knows that President Obama, whom he loves, is being pressured to do something about what some members of the Jewish community see as the “Farrakhan problem.”

“You don’t love him as much as I do, because if you really loved him, you would help him by telling him the truth. He’s surrounded by the Synagogue of Satan.”

This is the time of the fulfillment of scripture. Those authorities who wanted Jesus out of the way pressured Pontius Pilate. Pontius Pilate knew Jesus was not guilty of what they charged him with.

“They’re going to force Obama—the Jews have already gone to him,” said the Minister. “There’s an assassination team in the White House—let me say it publicly!”

The crowd listened carefully.

“Right now if this team says that Farrakhan is an enemy of the state, they can give an order to have me done away with,” said the Minister. “I’m here to prove the presence of God. I’m here to prove that what God has his hand on—they can’t kill me. He may allow them to imprison me, but most of you know, I’m the last man standing,” Minister Farrakhan said.

St. Louis energized

Rodrick K. Burton, Pastor of New Northside Missionary Baptist Church said the Minister spoke truth, and encouraged Black people to raise their standards, whether Muslims or Christians.

“He’s electrifying, a very, very wise man, reveals the truth and challenges us,”  said Rev. Burton. “It’s also time for us to reach out to the youth and a challenge to the Christian pastors to get out and do what Jesus said. Some folks might not accept that coming from him, but truth is the truth, it stands alone, and I was glad I was here tonight,” Rev. Burton said.

“As always, Minister Louis Farrakhan delivers a most powerful and needed message for our people,” said prominent community activist Zaki Baruti, who heads the Universal African Peoples Organization. “Times are very disturbing and the only way that we’ll be able to bring about change is that, first of all, each individual will have to accept their responsibility, to accept the Creator, not be fearful, and go out and be their brother’s and sister’s keepers,” he added.

Malik Ahmed, who hosted Minister Farrakhan at the Better Family Life Cultural Center and Museum said it was “one of the highest honors that we could have”  for the Minister to come by there.

“It let the community know that he is very proud of the work,” said Mr. Ahmed who also took some time to address the false charges that the Minister discussed during the end of his message.

“The false charges that have been leveled against him—he was very clear about all of them as being false,” said Mr. Ahmed. “He is a lover of humanity and is a lover of Black people,” he added.

Jawed H. Siddiqui, M.D., a St. Louis area cardiologist enjoys a long relationship with the Nation of Islam in St. Louis. He was present for the Minister’s new building dedication of Muhammad Mosque No. 28 in 2010. He said, as usual, the Minister’s message was packed with information and thought-provoking.

“I thought his lecture was wonderful, it was very great, good learning,” said Dr. Siddiqui. “I think it will change everybody’s life that was here,” he added.

St. Louis native and resident Sean Hughes, 42, said he hadn’t heard the Minister in some years, but tonight he enjoyed the message and said it was empowering. He brought his girlfriend, Danielle Lewis,  and his three sons, ages 12, 18 and 19.

“It was real enlightening for her, I think,” said Mr. Hughes. “I think he did a wonderful job and he didn’t sugarcoat it and he pushed it upfront.  He gave people power—like you can take your own power,” he added.

Danielle Lewis also a St. Louis native said it was a “really good starting point to find out more” and she said she would be going to the internet to hear more of his speeches and get more information because she is interested in learning more.

“This was my first time hearing the Minister, and I had heard some of the things, the negative things that had been said about him,” Ms. Lewis continued, “so it was good to hear him give clarification on those things and shed some light on them.”

Ms. Lewis said the Minister’s words about the youth resonated with her.

“I know that his passion has been with the Black community and actually I was one of the people who came to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth,” she said. “I wish he would have had even more time to speak about it and more about what all we can do,” she added.

Nineteen-year-old JaQ’uan Sanders-Hughes believes in God, and doesn’t go to church often, but he said the Minister  was “amazing” and that his words were “mind-blowing.”

“I didn’t know too much about Muslims so my father asked me to go. I wasn’t too much thrilled, but it was my off day so I Googled it in advance to like, to get a little bit familiar with the religion. It wasn’t giving me anything good so I decided I’ll just go and I’ll find out when I get here,” said the 19-year-old. “He’s changed the way I think.” JaQ’uan also said he was going to check out more of Min. Farrakhan’s speeches on YouTube.

Nolan X, from Portland, Oregon was in town for the Student Captain’s retreat. He said he got a treat hearing from the Minister the day before, and was blessed again to hear him  June 2.

“I  loved what the Minister had to say,”  said Brother Nolan. “It pumped me up and inspired me. I’m ready to go back and work to really help my city and grow and really help our people to get to the level where they need to be,” he added.

Annette Glover, a St. Louis resident said she’s been listening to the Minister since 1978 and told The Final Call why she brought her 16-year old son Taylor Rand, to see the Minister.

“He’s a Black man. He’s 16 years old. There is so much going on in the world and in the country, violence and everything and I want him to emerge himself as a leader of his own mind, and I want him to be exposed to things that are Afrocentric,” she said.

Taylor said his mother keeps him off the streets, but agreed with what the Minister said about crime, the problems with law enforcement and other things mentioned.

“This was my first time, so I didn’t really know what to expect, but it was good. My mother made me come but at the end I was glad I did,” he said laughing. “I am going to follow the Minister on Twitter.”
