Farrakhan: 'The truth separates!'By Ashahed M. Muhammad -Asst. Editor- | Last updated: Feb 13, 2013 - 8:30:48 AM
Distress has come in a time of decision-making says Minister in powerful lecture
CHICAGO - In his book, The Fall of America, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad warned in a chapter titled “America Hastens Her Own Doom:” “God has given to me a very strong and invincible truth that will defend, protect and prevent you from falling victim to the arch-deceiver. Read these, and treasure them; they are your life. Ignore them, and it is your death.”
Words written in a book published in 1973 were jumping off the pages as the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan delivered Part 5 of his essential lecture series “The Time and What Must Be Done” on Feb. 9.
As what meteorologists classified as “historic and extreme” snow engulfed and paralyzed parts of the Northeastern United States, strong winds and flooding threatened the coasts and an icy mix blasted the Midwest. The extreme weather represented an almost instantaneous manifestation of Min. Farrakhan’s words of warning, following his declaration that America would suffer nature’s wrath as God punished the country for evil done to Blacks and refused to allow children of her once slaves to go free.
The events also bore witness to right guidance received from his teacher, the Hon. Elijah Muhammad, and the divine mission Min. Farrakhan was given to carry out.
“To qualify the person who is giving us the knowledge of the time and why we should listen to such a man, we have said of him that he is the eternal leader of the Nation of Islam,” said Min. Farrakhan. “The Honorable Elijah Muhammad is the most qualified man on our planet to teach the knowledge of the time for he is one that God himself has raised up to teach such knowledge, and I am his student and I am his representative.”
There are prophecies of Jesus in the Bible, and Muhammad in the Holy Qur’an that are relevant to the time we are living in, the Minister said.
“We are saying that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad is that one that God has chosen out of a people despised, rejected, unloved and unwanted,” Minister Farrakhan continued. “Jesus would be the eternal guide to his father, the God of creation, and Muhammad ibn Abdullah—according to the Islamic scholars—would be this eternal door to Allah,” the Minister said. “We are saying to the world that the Jesus of 2,000 years ago was a prophet, not the messiah that was prophesied to come at the end of the present world. We are also saying that Muhammad ibn Abdullah was a prophet again, but a sign—as Jesus was—of one that would come at the end of this present world.”
The one prophesied to come would establish a new system of governance and a new reality, he noted.
“The new government is a government of peace. The new government is a government of freedom, justice and equality,” said Min. Farrakhan.
The Minister, addressing the Christian world, repeated his assertion that Black people in America are the true Children of Israel. Some have made a theological mistake through misinterpretation, while others know the truth, and continue to deliberately promote lies regarding the true identity of God’s chosen people, Min. Farrakhan said.
He then forthrightly dealt with detractors who accuse him of deviating from the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
“Those of you who remember his words—a man that could see to the end of this time—he told you, and all of our people ‘to listen to Farrakhan for his teaching is a bearing of witness of me.’ I am saying things of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad that he did not say of himself while he was among us. He told me ‘brother, don’t worry about where you are in the scriptures, you make my great commission known and I will represent you to the people.’ What is his great commission? He is that Messiah that the Jews have been looking for, that the Christians are looking for who would be with the Mahdi at the end of this present world. We are telling you that the Great Mahdi whom the Muslim world is looking for has already come. He is that Great Master Fard Muhammad who didn’t come in the East, he came in the West fulfilling what Muhammad said would happen.”
A light is shining from the West back to the East to “stir the East” bringing forth a new Islam and guidance for what is referred to in the Qur’an as the Hereafter. At the same time, the sun is now setting on the wicked world of the West, its civilization and its people.
“That time has arrived, that God has appeared. That Mahdi has appeared. That Messiah has been in the world and has raised me to continue his work of warning the nations of the Earth, warning America,” the Minister continued. “You must now after hearing the truth of the time, believe in that truth and act appropriately.”
The disbelievers and the believers form different groups because the truth brings about separation, he said.
“I must continue to warn regardless of whether you hear or forebear, whether you like it or dislike it, that’s immaterial to me. I have no power to make you a believer, I can only give you the message and then the God will answer the message that I’m giving you because the Qur’an warns us that whenever he raises up a messenger, he sends the people distress and affliction that they might humble themselves. So after the warning, keep looking, and see will not more distress and affliction come upon you. This is to encourage you to come to belief and if you come to belief, then you must change into the doing of good, and that good is acting in accord with the will of God.”
The Minister also shared why the Hon. Elijah Muhammad named him “Farrakhan.” Although his teacher never gave him the exact meaning, he did tell him it was “one of the modern up to date names of God.”
“Now I’m coming into the knowledge of the meaning,” said the Minister. “It’s a modern expression of an ancient characteristic of God. It’s the 25th Surah of the Holy Qur’an, The Discrimination. He makes a man for you with the gift of speech that when we speak, a fool cannot find it difficult to hear and understand if the fool would listen. When I speak, you fall on one side of what I say or the other, there is no in-between.”
