Hype, half-truths and prophecy: Is the year 2012 End of the World?By Ashahed M. Muhammad -Asst. Editor- | Last updated: Jan 25, 2012 - 9:18:14 AM
The End of This World … the Beginning of The Next
From prophecy to mystic projections and movies, many believe this year is critical for, and perhaps final year for the world. Are any of the predictions true or important for our survival?
“So God, Himself, intervenes to make manifest the two peoples. Everything that is of good, according to recorded history, has trouble in its infancy, but as it grows, it triumphs in the end.”
—The Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Message to the Blackman (1965)
Since the beginning of this world’s recorded history, prognosticators have claimed to know the day and time in which the world would be ending. Sir Isaac Newton, Nostradamus, right-wing televangelist Pat Robertson, just to name a few, have all forecasted the end.
Legions were drawn into hysteria when the Gregorian calendar switched to the year 2000. Computer and electronics manufacturers all had major contingency plans in the event of a “Y2K” disaster. None of the doomsday scenarios materialized.
The most recent end of the world forecasts focus on the year 2012 consistent with researchers in the area of the Mayan prophecies and calendar. Opinions vary and overlap. Some expect total destruction, others believing the “end of the world” represents a global cataclysmic dismantling of civilization, while others believe it is representative of the dawn of a new age of enlightenment and wisdom.
In a Jan. 9 interview with WVON 1690 AM radio host Cliff Kelley, The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan invited all listeners to hear his Saviours’ Day 2012 message scheduled to be delivered from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on February 26. In that message, the Minister said he would tell the world what is coming.
“By the Grace of God I will lay out for you, for the world, from the Teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and from the utterances of the prophets that are found both in the Bible and Qur’an, what we are going to face in this year,” said the Minister.
Attorney and Student Minister Ava Muhammad said universal change is in fact upon us and clearly demonstrated through the teachings and work of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and Minister Farrakhan.
“The predictions of all of the Original people of the Earth in this cycle of history in the last 6,000 years are in harmony with the calculation that 2012 will be a year that would represent the actual end of a period of time, and the beginning of another period of time,” Mrs. Muhammad told The Final Call. “Master Fard Muhammad showed the Honorable Elijah Muhammad a red and blue star together in the sky; and told him that the appearance of that red and blue star together only occurred every 50,000 years and their presence indicated a massive, dramatic transformation that he called a universal change.”
The end of whose world?
In recently delivered messages and numerous interviews, Minister Farrakhan has repeatedly stated the end of this wicked world of evil has arrived and the transition into a new world of righteousness has begun. It is time for those who desire to live under the laws and principles of God to build that new world and time for all of humanity to be released from “the blinding touch of Satan who has deceived the entire world.”
“We are at the end of a world of evil and the beginning of a new world that has to be based on new thought,” said Minister Farrakhan. “You can’t bring in a brand new world except you bring a brand new idea, a brand new thought that will produce a brand new mind, out of which will come a brand new world.”
With over 49 million considered functionally illiterate, 46 million lacking adequate health care insurance, and millions suffering in poverty, the country is a veritable tinderbox waiting to explode.
Immorality runs rampant in America with savage beatings and killings taking place daily. Many of the country’s political and business leaders are corrupt and greedy representatives of their scandal-ridden entities. A rotting culture of depravity exists and even non-religious people now believe apocalyptic societal change is imminent.
According to Mrs. Muhammad, the current reality makes the divine guidance coming through the words of Minister Farrakhan so precious and much sought after by those searching for solutions.
“When Minister Farrakhan talks about ‘the end of this world,’ he has already said to us from the Teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad—and though we are all recipients of the teaching, only one can truly claim the Honorable Elijah Muhammad as his ‘Teacher,’ and that is Minister Farrakhan—he has said to us quite clearly, and it’s been demonstrated over and over, that this world, this current cycle of history, has been built on and dominated by an idea of dominion and rule. It is based on an idea of White Supremacy. It is a world that is governed by racism, sexism, materialism, and inordinate nationalism and as a result, it is a world that is not in harmony with the Will of Allah whose world is one of complete balance, peace and harmony,” said Mrs. Muhammad. “That world that is coming in is coming as the result of a mindset. All that we see physically is the product of a thought, or thoughts, beginning with creation itself coming into existence from The Mind of The Creator,” she added.
What are the signs?
In his book titled “Our Saviour Has Arrived,” the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad writes: “The World (under the rule of the White race) that we have been living in had a duration of time of 6,000 years. We have been living in The World for the duration of her time, and now her time is up, and she (The World) is conscious to the fact that God Will Rule the people in a government of Righteousness.”
In the 21st Chapter of Luke, verses 25-26 it reads: “There shall be signs in the sun, the moon and the stars and upon the earth distress of nations with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them for fear and for looking after those things which are coming upon the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.”
And in II Timothy, Chapter 3, verses 1-5 it reads: “This know also that in the last days perilous times shall come, for men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection; truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good; traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof ...”
Last year, during Minister Farrakhan’s 2011 Saviours’ Day keynote address, he pointed out that America had been hit with one weather calamity after another. He also reminded the audience of the words contained in the Holy Qur’an, the Muslim book of scripture, where it says there would be “calamity after calamity until the enemy is laid low.”
Whether it was winter snowstorms disabling major cities in America, extreme drought in the Southwest, record flooding in the South, deadly tornadoes in the North, Midwest and Plains states or wildfires in the West, scientists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) considered 2011 one of the deadliest and most destructive in recorded history. A record 14 weather disasters caused $1 billion or more in damage.
And the disasters were not limited to America.
In March, Japan, a nation known for its earthquake preparedness was hit with a devastating 9.0 magnitude earthquake which killed nearly 16,000, caused a tsunami, torrential flooding, landslides and infrastructure damage resulting in a massive nuclear radiation emergency affecting people worldwide.
And it continues. In Alaska, the town of Valdez has received 27 feet of snow this winter, nearly doubling its average amount.
Winter tornadoes were reported in three different states Jan. 21.
The Minister also warned the unrest seen during the “Arab Spring” would come to America and within weeks, the world witnessed the rise of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
Minister Farrakhan is speaking directly from the mind of God, not as a prophet, which is why his words swiftly come to pass, said Mrs. Muhammad.
“In reference to the almost instantaneous manifestation of those things that Minister Farrakhan warns us of, in any given point in history, it has been shown through scripture and through the records of all Original people that there is always one through whom The Mind and Wisdom of The Creator is manifested to us,” said Mrs. Muhammad.
“Minister Farrakhan’s words come to pass so quickly because his mind and heart are so completely aligned with that of The Mind of The God Who controls all that is around us. And so he is not speaking ‘prophetically,’ he is speaking from The Mind of God, and The God’s active will for humanity in the moment,” she added.
“Allah makes a promise to the Believer that He will establish a government of peace,” Mr. Muhammad told The Final Call. “If we look at the history, we will see that we have a transformation that has been occurring, and we are now at the end of all those transformations and bringing in one solid standing new world and that new world government will be run by the righteous.”
“If we study the Promised Land, the Kingdom of God that’s been promised in the Bible and the Holy Qur’an, this was based upon a single prayer by Abraham,” said Mr. Muhammad. “Abraham prayed for his seed to be risen and to be established in the earth in eminence so those who believe in the unity of God can stand together and uphold righteousness. We see this being played out throughout the birth line of the prophets, through Abraham and the line of Ishmael down through to Prophet Muhammad and in the legacy of our Master Fard Muhammad—being a descendant of Prophet Muhammad himself—fulfilling the scriptures in a way that is very clear for many to see that this is the day and the time in which the resurrection is occurring,” he added.
Student Minster Ava said even on the earthly plane and at the material level, man has the power to build and destroy, to remove one thing, and replace it with another. So it is with God, who has ultimate power over all things.
“We are at the end of a period of a mind-set that is rebellious to the Will of God, and this is why we have poverty. This is why Minister Farrakhan has taught us, and it has been proven, that the rulers and leaders of this world have proven completely incompetent to solve any of the problems of our time,” said Mrs. Muhammad. “Whether it is in the spiritual, the moral, the physical, whether it is in economics, politics, health, education, there’s no arena of life that is not in complete chaos, disarray, and disintegration. And so what we are really witnessing is the end of the dominance of White Supremacy, and the coming in of a world that is ruled by an idea of peace and the Arabic word for that world coming in is Islam.”
