The city was hit hard with torrential rain Saturday morning, but that didn’t prevent women and girls from all walks of life from attending the women’s only event. The F.O.I., drenched from the rain, valet parked cars so the women and children could stay dry.  Breakfast and hot coffee was served to guests as they arrived and flowers were presented to the women as they exited the mosque.

“I appreciate the Nation of Islam for celebrating and uplifting our women. The training units I learned about made me feel that the M.G.T. class provides the art and science of womanhood and divinity that’s lost in today’s society. This event reminded me that all women are valuable, powerful, and that we have a purpose,” Sister Jamilla Webb expressed.

“Outstanding Sister Charlene Tarver raved. “I’m Baptist and not only did I learn so much from each sister that spoke, the sisters in your mosque greeted me with smiles and made me feel welcomed.
