“The Honorable Elijah Muhammad loved Booker T. Washington! The Honorable Elijah Muhammad was in love with Tuskegee University; and he said to us he wanted to see Tuskegee returned to those wonderful principles upon which that institute, and now university, was built. When I spoke to the students at Tuskegee University on March 22, 2013, I said: “You are more than who you think you are … Because of ‘who’ you are, you are in danger. So tonight I want to expose the danger, and by God’s Grace, give you the guidance to be exactly what I said you are: ‘The Seminal Fluid’ of The Kingdom of God.”

These above words are from the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. He said them during Part 33 of The Time and What Must Be Done, his online lecture series.  These words rang in the ears of Nation of Islam Southern Region Student Minister, Abdul Sharieff Muhammad, as he talked to Johnny Ford, the Mayor of Tuskegee. The men were discussing the idea of opening a restaurant in Tuskegee.

From there, Brother Sharieff followed one principle, unity! He united a group of Believers from the Nation of Islam as they pooled their resources to open Blue Seas 2 Restaurant in Tuskegee. On Sept. 5, 2014, Blue Seas 2 Restaurant hosted a Grand Opening Ceremony that included city officials of Tuskegee. The occasion also marked the opening of the only Black-owned dine-in restaurant currently in the city.

“I am striving to do as The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has asked, and opening Blue Seas 2 in Tuskegee will allow us to continue to promote Muhammad’s Economic Blueprint. Our goal is to serve the community of Tuskegee and be of assistance where they need us,” said Bro. Sharieff.

Mayor Ford and Brother Sharieff cut the ribbon in front of the restaurant to mark this historic moment as Muhammad’s Economic Blueprint was set in full effect in Tuskegee. Also, in attendance were members of the City Council of Tuskegee along with Brother Rashad Muhammad, a member of Min. Farrakhan’s security team.

Blue Seas 2 Restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant plans to be open in the beginning stages from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. and hopes to expand hours. The restaurant will also serve as a base in Tuskegee for Brother Sharieff to promote other businesses such as Supreme Spring Water, Supreme Bean Pie, “Love & Unity, and soon in the vicinity, Your Respect For Life Bookstore.

Blue Seas 2 Restaurant is located at 205 West Martin Luther King Highway, Tuskegee, Ala., 36083 and can be reached at 334-439-5053 for information. Please support and spread the word that Muhammad’s Economic Blueprint is in full effect in Tuskegee, Alabama!
