(FinalCall.com) - On March 11, Japan was jolted by its largest earthquake on record, measuring 8.9 on the Richter scale, which triggered a tsunami that killed thousands, wiped out several cities and caused billions of dollars in damage.

The “natural” disaster is the latest in a series of extreme and unusual weather prevailing on the earth, perplexing experts and common people alike. According to the meteorologists, it is a continued pattern from 2010 which was considered one of the worst years for brutal weather conditions in recorded history.

“And the way this one (2011) has begun, you have seen nothing yet,” warned the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan during his annual Saviours' Day address Feb. 27 before thousands at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill.

The severity of these weather events is causing some to ponder why events are occurring with such fury and asking if divine wrath is part of the reason.

On the heels of the tsunami in Japan, many also asked could America survive the same kind of calamity?

These reflective questions about threats to life and property have been explained and answered by the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and his representative and student, Minister Farrakhan.

Mr. Muhammad taught that through divine providence and fulfillment of prophecy, the end has come to this world of injustice, disobedience and wickedness to make way for a new world of justice peace and equality. The forces of nature are God's weapon of choice to destroy the old world and break the power his enemies, Mr. Muhammad said.

In his pivotal book, The Fall of America, the Hon. Elijah Muhammad described the hour as “A Great Time! A Troublesome Time! A Terrible Time!”

“The rulers of this world must be removed and the crown must be taken off and placed upon another head, and they will rule in justice and righteousness,” Mr. Muhammad wrote. He further referenced the Holy Qur'an, Chapter 13, Verse 41, “See they not that We are visiting the land, curtailing it of its sides? And Allah pronounces a doom—there is no repeller of His decree. And He is swift in calling to account.” He also taught that this verse refers to the United States.

“This is the time of the destruction of the enemies of God, the enemies of peace, and the enemy of a righteous civilization. (Master Fard Muhammad, the Messiah of the Christians and Mahdi of the Muslims) has unlimited power to heal, to regenerate the earth, and purify it from the stench of the wicked who have poisoned the earth, the atmosphere, the water, and poisoned the very hearts and minds of the human family,” said Minister Farrakhan.

The Minister said February 28, 2010 to “watch the weather” as a sign that Elijah Muhammad spoke the truth and along with God, will back him in his current warning toAmerica and the nations. The Minister gave instructive words of guidance connecting the frequency of catastrophe to the presence and anger of God against the present state of affairs.

The Muslim leader also pointed out various examples of record breaking weather occurrences in China, Russia, Pakistan, India, Australia, Mexico, South Korea and Taiwan that included excessive high and low temperatures; droughts, volcanoes, hurricanes, typhoons, monsoons, torrential rains, blizzards and floods.

There was record snow in many countries, and during one period, the United States had the biggest storm in its recorded history where snow fell in 49 of 50 states at the same time last year.

In 2010, there were more than 4,200 “moderate” to “great” earthquakes—with 300,000 people killed in Haiti alone in a January 2010 quake.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said these weather events were signs of the fate of America for its evil done to the people of the earth and particularly the masses of Black people.

“He (Elijah Muhammad) told us that we would be visited with four great judgments, rain—and we have seen aplenty—hail, snow, earthquakes. He said earthquakes so terrific that they would level cities,” said Minister Ishmael Muhammad, student National Assistant to Minister Farrakhan, in a recent sermon webcast from Chicago.

The great display of nature is an indicator that now is the time to “pray for mercy, because the sword of justice is now swinging,” added student Regional Minister Robert Muhammad of Houston.

“The scriptures say in Mathew, in the last days, there would be wars and rumors of wars, pestilence, famine and earthquakes in diverse places,” he said.

Both the Hon. Elijah Muhammad and Minister Farrakhan have been teaching these tragedies were imminent, observed Robert Muhammad. They disarmed their followers, sure that Allah is willing and able to fight this war, he said.

“What we see is an old world going out and a new world coming in,” he added.

“Minister Farrakhan as in Ezekiel 3:16-20; the blood of the people is not on his hands because he warned them. There is another power that's interfering with the power of NATO, the Russian Federation, China, the African Union; and the Honorable Minister Farrakhan is tied to that power,” Robert Muhammad said.

Analysts say that more people were killed worldwide by natural disasters last year than have been killed in terrorist attacks in the past 40 years combined. An Associated Press article called 2010 “the year the Earth struck back.”

Dr. Ava Muhammad, attorney, author and a spokesperson for Minister Farrakhan agreed. “What we are experiencing is a push back from the planet against the rebellion of humanity against the will of Allah.”

“Every act of nature is the result of the active Will of God,” she said.

Almost every country on the earth is reporting unusual weather patterns, including major and minor earthquakes, Ava Muhammad said. However as for America, she said, Master Fard Muhammad came in 1930 to give Blacks the means by which they could be spared the destruction of the nation that destroyed Black people.

“There is no such thing as saving America because it is slated for destruction. Not by radical Islam but a self destruction that will be completed by Allah,” she said.

Dr. Muhammad called the earthquake/tsunami in Japan “biblical and Qur'anic in proportion,” bearing witness that Minister Farrakhan said it was going to happen.

Minister Farrakhan cautioned those who read the Holy Qur'an, not to read it, “just to read”—“read it because it's a book that describes what goes on right up to The Day of Judgment.”

The Minister further explained, “The Qur'an says calamity after calamity, until the enemy is laid low. Now the oceans are rising; and the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said he would build nothing on the East coast or the West coast, even in the South because soon the waters will over-flood. … He said the people would be pushed more toward the center of the country.”

As America is engulfed with divine judgment, Minister Farrakhan has increased the work of survival and disaster management in the midst of the fall of America. Through the apparatus of Millions More Movement, he has called together experts to train and prepare people in a time of destruction.

Arealia Muhammad, a disaster management instructor who has served as a volunteer disaster action team member, and emergency management coordinator for national and international disasters, said “preparedness is one level” but disaster “management” is another level and different reality. It's time to think how to move as a nation and a group, she said. There is a misperception that you are prepared with individual survival kits but what happens when it runs out? she asked.

Ms. Muhammad noted that Cuba and Japan have systems in place among their people as well as government in the event of disasters.

Japan was highly prepared structurally for earthquakes, though 8.9 was devastating along with the effects from the tsunami.

“The U.S. has only 28 search and rescue teams; the Millions More Movement has more than that because we have the people,” said Aurelia Muhammad. “We train the trainers and the community,” as in the paradigm of Cuba, she added.

“There is a severe lack of understanding of the magnitude of what disaster preparedness is,” said Rudolph Muhammad of the Nation of Islam Ministry of Health and Human Services.

For Rudolph Muhammad, as advanced as Japan is technologically in disaster mitigation and as “catastrophic” as that disaster has been, what would that 8.9 earthquake mean in New York or Chicago or Los Angeles? If the equal was to happen in America, it would be equal to or worse than Haiti, he predicted.

“If we had a disaster of this magnitude here in the United States it would be cataclysmic in some regions because we're just not set up for that,” said expert Aton Edwards, in an interview with MSNBC.
