Is America In The Crosshairs Of God’s Wrath?

In an excellent interview with Final Call Editor in Chief, Richard B. Muhammad, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan said, “America now is in the crosshairs of God Himself.…” The Minister has often pointed to the violent or extreme weather patterns in America as evidence that the country is being divinely chastised.

And according to a 2013 article in USA Today, America has the most extreme weather on the planet! Writer Doyle Rice wrote in the aforementioned article that, “North America — and the USA in particular — has the world’s wildest weather extremes: No other part of the planet can boast its ferocious weather stew of hurricanes, tornadoes, droughts, floods, wildfires, blizzards, heat waves and cold snaps.” 

What follows in this article is a brief factsheet prepared to shed light on the Minister’s serious warning to the American people, and to refute the ADL’s renewed propaganda against our beloved Minister.

Scholars Bear Witness of America’s Divine Peril:

Edward Tracy: On what comfortable and convenient grounds can the U.S.A. claim immunity from divine judgement? The nation that forgets God goes backward—backward to defeat, backward to destruction. That we (U.S.A.) are going backward cannot be denied? We are regressing spiritually, morally, legally, financially, governmentally, and at an alarming acceleration.

Herbert W. Armstrong: Just as God has bestowed on us such material blessings as never before came to any nations, now to correct us so we may enjoy such blessings, He is going to bring upon our peoples such national disaster as has never before struck any nation! Many prophecies describe this!

Ruth Graham (wife of famous evangelist Billy Graham): If God doesn’t punish America, He’ll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr: We have fought long and hard for the goals we’ve achieved, but therein lies my deepest concern, that in this struggle for integration, which we are achieving, I do genuinely believe that we will be integrating into a burning house.

Thomas Jefferson: Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever. … (1781)

The ADL, under its new leadership, has renewed its anti-Farrakhan campaign.  They have listed Minister Farrakhan as an extremist “anti-Semite.” They call the Minister this, not for any real anti-Semitism, but because he says it is the Blacks of America and their Native American brothers and sisters who are the real Children of Israel. Thusly the Minister has pointed to America’s mistreatment of Blacks, Latinos and Indians as being the root cause of her being in the “cross hairs of the wrath of God.”

But as angry as the ADL is at Minister Farrakhan for delivering this gospel to sold-out arenas around the country, there are well respected Israeli and Jewish scholars who have proven that their own people are not the real Children of Israel described in the Bible/Torah. Consider the following sample of their voluminous research:

Professor Schlomo Sand: “Moses could not have led the Hebrews out of Egypt into the Promised Land, for the good reason that the latter was Egyptian territory at the time. And there is no trace of either a slave revolt against the Pharaonic Empire or of a sudden conquest of Canaan by outsiders.

“I was not raised as a Zionist, but like all other Israelis I took it for granted that the Jews were a people living in Judea and that they were exiled by the Romans in 70 A.D.

“But once I started looking at the evidence, I discovered that the kingdoms of David and Solomon were legends.

“Similarly with the exile. In fact, you can’t explain Jewishness without exile. But when I started to look for history books describing the events of this exile, I couldn’t find any. Not one.” (Professor of History, Tel Aviv University, Israel. Author of the Invention of the Jewish People).

Professor Ze’ev Herzog: “The many Egyptian documents that we have make no mention of the Israelites’ presence in Egypt and are also silent about the events of the exodus … . Generations of researchers tried to locate Mount Sinai and the stations of the tribes in the desert. Despite these intensive efforts, not even one site has been found that can match the biblical account.”

Rabbi David Wolpe: “The truth is that virtually every modern archeologist who has investigated the story of the Exodus, with very few exceptions, agrees that the way the Bible describes the Exodus is not the way it happened, if it happened at all.” (Senior Rabbi, Sinai Temple, Los Angeles, CA. Named the “#1 Pulpit Rabbi in America” by Newsweek magazine).

Professor Israel Finkelstein: “The conclusion—that the Exodus did not happen at the time and in the manner described in the Bible—seems irrefutable when we examine the evidence at specific sites where the children of Israel were said to have camped for extended periods during their wandering in the desert and where some archaeological indication—if present—would almost certainly be found.” (Jacob M. Alkow Professor of the Archaeology of Israel in the Bronze Age and Iron Ages at Tel Aviv University.)

Again the ADL and the Southern Poverty Law Center hate the narrative espoused by Minister Farrakhan, specifically the part where the Minister boldly declares that it is the Black man and woman of America who fit the Biblical description better than any other possible contender.

A sample of the Biblical scriptures that point to the Black man and woman of America include the following prophecies:

Children of Israel in Bondage for 400 years (Acts 7:6-7; Genesis 15:13-15):  The Hon. Elijah Muhammad teaches that the most popular English slaver John Hawkins began bringing Africans as slaves to the Americas also in the year 1555. To date we are 461 years in bondage. “The transatlantic slave trade was, in many ways, still in its infancy during the 16th century, but thousands of captive Africans were already being loaded onto European ships and transported across the sea to Spanish America and Brazil every, year, especially after 1560. In this vein, an expedition under the command of John Lok reportedly returned to England with “certayne blacke slaves” in 1555.” (Slaves and Englishmen: Human Bondage in the Early Modern Atlantic World by Michael Guasco p. 67.)

Children of Israel names were changed while in bondage (Daniel 1:7): We came to America with African and Islamic names, but our slave masters changed our names and gave us their names to identify us as their chattel property. “The slaves had been stripped of their status, their names, their families and friends, and their customs and culture. They were surrounded by fear, distrust, and sometimes hatred. No wonder it was commonplace for newly arrived slaves to try to run away or sink into a deep, sometimes suicidal depression. They stood naked to misery, not knowing what would happen to them.” (Slavery In America by Dorothy and Carl Schneider p. 78)

Children of Israel oppressed through special laws and statutes (Psalms 94:20; James 5:6): Special laws known as the Slave Codes were written and executed to deprive Blacks in America of the right to read, marry, own property, testify in court, vote in elections, practice our native religion and constitute families. “Surely never before has mischief been framed by law with more diabolical ingenuity than in this infernal code. Your analysis of the slave laws is very able, and your exhibition of their practical application by the Southern Courts, evinces great and careful research.” (Judge William Jay to Author William Goodell of the American Slave Code p. 9)

Children of Israel corrupted and “robbed and spoiled” (Exodus 1:10; Isaiah 42:22; Daniel 5:2): Because of our strong birth rate, that far exceeds our slave masters and their children, Blacks have been poisoned, sterilized, aborted in the wombs of our mothers, infected with diseases, miseducated and blocked from all paths to freedom and independence. “Employers in the South had made a practice of supplying their black workers with cocaine (Grinspoon and Bakalar 1985:39). According to Ashley (1976:81), plantation owners had “discovered things went better with coke.” Thus, they kept a steady supply on hand to increase productivity and keep workers content. Cocaine was also a cheap incentive to maintain control of workers. “A shrewd boss doling out one-quarter gram a day per man could keep sixteen workers happy and more productive for a full seven days on a single ounce.” (“Coca and Cocaine in the United States” by Richard Harvey Brown, pg.1)
