The Time and the Hour and What Must Be Done

I would like to take our readers into a deeper understanding, by the help of Almighty God Allah, into the meaning of this past Saviours' Day timeline event of 80 years—1930 to 2010. Upon the departure of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad on February 25, 1975, the Nation of Islam in America had completed its initial stage of 45 years in the spiritual resurrection of our mentally dead nation since its founding by Master W. Fard Muhammad, the Great Mahdi. It was in 1931 when the Honorable Elijah Muhammad first met Master Fard Muhammad face to face and instantly recognized who he was as the answer to the one that the world had been awaiting for 2,000 years.

What is the significance of these dates and what does the current time hold for us in this period of the mental resurrection of our dead nation in America and throughout the world? The Honorable Elijah Muhammad had shared with some of his followers prior to his departure that Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, was a critical and most important sign in reference to himself and the fulfillment of prophesy. It was only after his departure, within three months to be exact, that circumstances had developed which provided me an opportunity for my first visit to Cairo, Egypt, in 1975. I was accompanied by my two eldest children, my daughter, Madeeah, and my eldest son, Ishmael, and a guide. With very short notice, I met with Warithuddin Mohammed in the Palace (National House) in Chicago with my request to travel to Egypt, which included a few other countries in the Near East with a purpose of recording one of my compositional works entitled, “The Muslim Song and March to Victory,” based on the 110^th Surah of the Holy Qur'an. Contacts with those persons who were awaiting my arrival had already been arranged.

I and my two children would be the first to travel abroad on any assignment since the Honorable Elijah Muhammad's departure. I said to Bro. Warithuddin Mohammed (at that time) that I had prayed to Allah to bless me with a gift that I could help the Honorable Elijah Muhammad raise millions and billions of dollars for the treasury of the Nation of Islam to help our people in this great divine work of the resurrection. Perhaps through my music was a way to fulfill this goal and objective. He listened intently and slightly bowed his head while speaking on his own intention to travel to the Near East soon to explain his father, and while permission was granted to me, he requested that I not speak to the public or to the press about his father because that was to be part of his work and mission that he had planned to do. That was not a problem for me because that was never my intention. He wanted me to wait until he and other family members would take that journey; however, he felt the sincerity of my request and purpose for travel and granted me my request and also furnished me with some financial support for my journey without me asking or desiring to do so. Preparation was then made for me to go forward and within a few weeks in the month of May, my eldest daughter and son accompanied their mother to Cairo, Egypt.

When I arrived I felt I was retracing some of my husband's footsteps traveling with him to some of the places where his own feet had tread in search of knowledge which has been a constant theme of my journeys around the world ever since. It is now time for me to tell my story, the story of the Woman Behind the Veil, whom Allah has blessed in so many enumerable and countless ways to come to this day as a Witness Bearer of this great truth of what I had experienced in my lifetime of Allah's mercy and Divine Guidance in the midst of controversy, persecution, struggle and great pain and adversity up ‘til this present moment.

In this 80^th year anniversary of our Nation of Islam Timeline, 1930 to 2010, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has opened the flood gates and pointed out boldly the time and what must be done. His monumental address on Saviours' Day, February 28^th to the entire world, has compelled me to begin to tell my story and give my testimonial to the world without fear or intimidation by those who may be desirous of my silence among those who are ignorant and envious, who may wish for me to hold back my testimony on the truth; but it is my husband, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, the anointed Christ and Master W. F. Muhammad, the Great Mahdi, God in Person, and the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, who is beckoning me at this time not to hold back as the time of this world is at hand! I must help in the delivery of our people at the end of the time that we have known.

“He said: My Lord knows (every) utterance in the heaven and the earth, and He is the Hearer, the Knower. Nay, say they: Medleys of dreams! Nay, he has forged it! Nay, he is a poet! so let him bring to us a sign such as the former (prophets) were sent (with). Not a town believed before them which We destroyed: will they then believe? And We sent not before thee any but men to whom We sent revelation; so ask the followers of the Reminder if you know not.” –Holy Qur'an, Surah 21, verses 4-7
