It doesn’t take much to see how deeply troubled America is, just open your eyes.

For the fourth time in U.S. history an American president is facing impeachment—and he seems oblivious to or unworried about ripping the country apart. With words like “losers,” “traitors,” and “treason” punctuating conversations, nothing good for America can be happening.

We are seeing an arrogant president, a cowed Republican Party, an unapologetic Democratic Party and a deeply divided, disunited states. There is no middle ground, no national interest and no negotiation.

Coming out of hearings that highlighted the president’s alleged wrongdoing, CNN reported Dec. 16 that polls showed 45 percent of respondents supported impeaching and removing the president. Forty-eight percent opposed Mr. Trump’s impeachment and removal. Those numbers are likely to embolden the president and enrage those who want him out of office.

And, if Mr. Trump loses the 2020 election, can he be expected to simply wave good bye and leave the White House?

As domestic tranquility crumbles, America continues to lose friendship abroad. When Mr. Trump visited Europe for a NATO meeting weeks ago, longtime U.S. allies ridiculed the leader of the free world. French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte were caught on viral video mocking Mr. Trump. Back on U.S. soil, Mr. Trump called Mr. Macron a “pain in the a--,” while badmouthing global leaders in a closed door meeting “with more than a dozen ambassadors to the United Nations present,” reported the Daily Beast Dec. 12. The president “upended a portion of the meeting meant to focus on world powers’ security cooperation, not personal gripes,” it added. “The permanent representatives hailed from countries such as France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, South Africa, Russia and China.”

Then there is North Korea and her threats that America may receive an end of year surprise. Analysts wonder if North Korea is planning another missile test, despite U.S. opposition. The North Koreans responded in early December that they had nothing to lose and derided the U.S. president as a “heedless and erratic old man after he tweeted that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un wouldn’t want to abandon a special relationship between the two leaders and affect the American presidential election by resuming hostile acts,” the Associated Press said.

Things weren’t looking better on the economic front with Paul Krugman, a Nobel Prize-winning economist, tweeting in mid-December: “Going in to the end of the year, Trump is going to be claiming victory in his trade war. The truth is that there are almost never winners in trade wars—but there are losers. And however Trump may try to spin this, he lost. That’s certainly how the Chinese see it. Trump tried to bully them; they hung tough; and are basically ending up where they started, buying agricultural products while selling us increasingly sophisticated manufactured goods.”

There are revelations that three U.S. presidents—George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump—lied about the war in Afghanistan while the country squandered $1 trillion in an 18-year conflict that officials knew America could not win. And, despite saber rattling toward Iran, things aren’t looking good for the U.S. in the Middle East, and looking South to Mexico, Central and South America, there isn’t a lot of love for Uncle Sam.

America is on a road to anarchy and revolution. She is fractured, anxious and angry with a heavily armed and aggrieved White population, growing distrust of government, a president who brings out the worst in people and enablers who help him.

“Confusion, Revolution—this trouble and warring is due to the fact that it is time that the truth should reign, and the Great God of Truth, Master Fard Muhammad, To Whom Praises are due forever is in Person today, to see that truth triumph over falsehood. And the lovers of falsehood will fight to the bitter end to oppose truth and prevent truth from triumphing over the nations of the earth,” wrote the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in the July 3, 1970 edition of Muhammad Speaks reprinted in this edition.

“She has divided the nations and has put brothers fighting against brothers. Now she must be divided, and her brother of evil put to fighting with her. This is going on at the present time,” wrote the patriarch of the Nation of Islam.

Decades ago America played a role in dividing China, Korea, Vietnam and other nations. They have not forgotten yesterday’s evil, nor today’s continued wrongdoing and meddling in their affairs. As they grow stronger and America grows weaker, they are looking to do to America what was done to them.

We cannot be content with trying to find our way in the world of the enemy as his world is imploding. If our former slave master cannot save himself, and he can’t, he certainly cannot save us. We must save ourselves.

World confusion and revolution are settling over America and separation is the solution. Read your bible, whenever God’s hand was moving against a people, those whom he wanted to save were called out of those destined for divine destruction. If you believe the biblical account of the children of Israel yesterday, you should be able to recognize that Black people in America are the fulfilment of that prophecy today. The fall of America heralds our rise, as the Hon. Elijah Muhammad and Minister Louis Farrakhan have shown us. We simply have to accept the truth and refuse to go down with those who have enslaved, tortured and murdered us.
