#HDOA19 Unity, work and community engagement

Muslim men, women and children from Nation of Islam mosques and study groups around the country took to the streets of their respective communities spreading the word about the 24th anniversary of the historic Million Man March and Holy Day of Atonement. The Mighty FOI (Fruit of Islam) and MGT and GCC (Muslim Girls Training and General Civilization Class) canvassed neighborhoods, businesses and went door to door with flyers promoting the Oct. 13 keynote address by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. The Minister’s message was broadcast live from Chicago at Christ Universal Temple via internet and viewed at various Nation of Islam locations throughout the U.S. in front of attentive and eager audiences, anxious to hear from the 86 year old Muslim leader.

Muslims participated in a variety of community activities during the Holy Day of Atonement weekend as part of continued efforts to make their communities clean and decent places to live and also enjoyed fellowshipping with one another at various community gatherings.
