Black

Rev. Jackson calls for U.S. Gov't
investigation
KOKOMO--Haunting memories of
days when Black men hanging from trees were commonplace in the South
returned with the death of a Mississippi teenager found hung in his
parents front yard. Raynard Johnsons family says the bright,
athletic 17-year-old didnt commit suicide as ruled by local officials
and have asked the Rev. Jesse Jackson to push for a federal probe of the
youths June 16 death.
Memorial services salute
Shaka Sankofa, the fight against the death penalty
HOUSTONMemorial and funeral services for
Shaka Sankofa, formerly known as Gary Graham, were more of a celebration
of his life than a sad event. And while mourners remembered his execution
by lethal injection a week earlier, they also vowed to honor his dying
request that they continue to work to end capital punishment.

PAIN OF INFIDELITY
by Minister Louis
Farrakhan
By our being truthful in
our relationships we can begin to put the pieces of our lives back
together. It is a wonderful thing to be made whole after being
broken, and, practicing the principle of atonement will make us as
individuals whole; make our marriages and our families whole; make us
a unit a whole people.
