Activists
declare it's time to end IMF, World Bank stranglehold on poor nations
WASHINGTON�Howls of
�De-Fund the Fund! Break the Bank!� and Dump the Debt!� rang across
the National Mall, as hundreds of people locked arms and marched down
Pennsylvania Avenue in a pre-protest of the World Bank/ International
Monetary Fund (IMF) Spring Summit scheduled for April 12-17, at IMF
headquarters here.

Critical
health status of Black community worsened by shortage of Black doctors
The need for more doctors to
develop quality health care in under- served and often miss-served
minority communities of low-income families is of grave concern for Black
medical professionals. An already existing problem of a Black and Latino
doctor shortage coupled with recent anti-affirmation action legislation
has worsened the problem.

one international human rights organization. And the fact that racism is
becoming increasingly accepted in the 15-nation European Union is cause for
alarm for a European anti-racism watchdog group.

Minister Louis Farrakhan for one million families to converge on Washington,
D.C., Oct. 16, 2000, Million Family March National Director Minister
Benjamin F. Muhammad announced a multi-city tour promoting the march and its
National Agenda.

Poor have No Voice

It's
sad that most of the congressmen, the representatives of the American people, are
from the wealthy class. The wealthy and the privileged in this society, who have benefited
most from the federal debt, corporate restructurings and plant relocations, are the people
charged with representing the poor. Can they adequately represent the poor?
