The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, patriarch of the Nation of Islam prophesied that America would be punished by Allah (God) by the forces of nature for her ongoing persecution and mistreatment of the Black and indigenous man and woman. God will use rain, hail, snow and earthquakes to bring America to its knees, he warned. His National Representative, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, teaches the same and continuously warns America, Black people and all people, to “watch the weather,” and in echoing his teacher has cautioned that “the worst is yet to come.”

“Job in the Bible, prophesied that Allah (God) has the snow and ice to use as His weapon in the day of war and battle against the wicked,” Mr. Muhammad wrote in his book, “The Fall of America.” Min. Farrakhan like his teacher repeatedly warns Black people in particular that they must prepare for when severe weather strikes.

At Final Call presstime, the East Coast was still dealing with the remnants and after effects of Winter Storm Riley, which pummeled parts of the Eastern Seaboard. And on its heels, yet another major winter storm was on its way. Meteorological experts called Winter Storm Riley a “bombogenisis’ or ‘bomb cyclone’ weather system. Areas of the East Coast, particularly in Massachusetts were struck March 2. According to reports, at least nine people were reported dead and nearly two million people were without power in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast with evacuations taking place along areas prone to flooding.

Riley, a name of Irish and Gaelic origin which means “valiant,” caused 3,000 flight cancellations on March 2 alone and Amtrak temporarily halted services between Boston and New York, noted the Associated Press. Trees and power lines were downed all across the mid-Atlantic, including the Washington, D.C. area and major flooding turned streets into rivers.  Boston experienced its third highest tide on record at 14.67 feet. Sleet, rain and strong wind gusts from 60 to nearly 100 mph were reported in some of the New England states.

Winter Storm Quinn was right in its wake, expected to strike the Northeast and East Coasts the week of March 5. This storm is predicted to drop upward to nine inches of snow in New York, northern New Jersey, and southern Connecticut. However, if the storm hits closer to the coast, said experts, it could bring more rain than snow.

In a final warning to the U.S. government and President Donald Trump and a final call to Black people during a press conference last October at the Watergate Hotel in Washington, D.C., Min. Farrakhan issued another uncompromising and stern warning. He stated: “Let me tell you something: If you don’t give justice to us, you will lose everything you’ve got, including your life, because God, now, said He is ready to fight you for our deliverance. And he told me to tell you: You don’t have no ‘fight’ against the forces of nature …” he said.

“What you’re seeing isn’t ‘global warming,’ it’s the Judgment of God. I am here to tell you that I come to you—but I’ve got backup.”
