CHICAGO—Hundreds of women from the Nation of Islam joined one another during their Saturday Muslim Girls Training and General Civilization Class (MGTGCC) at the Arie Crown Theater during Saviours’ Day weekend, February 24. It was also a day for the newly-registered MGT to be recognized and congratulated.

The newly-registered believers were dressed in their white garments and the MGT in seasonal brown. Carefully wrapped pink gift bags were distributed to those who arrived early, and a cheerful spirit resonated during the 2-hour class.

Student National MGT Captain Sandy Muhammad addressed the crowd with a matching spirit, thanking everyone for their presence and contributing their spirit to Saviours’ Day.

The guests opened their gift bags that included an MGT special Saviours’ Day 2018 edition of Virtue Magazine, a pair of silver or gold earrings and a thank-you card embroidered in matching pink colors.

Mary Muhammad from Indianapolis attributed a song to the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. The entire class was taken aback by her beautiful lyrics and melody and it ended with a cheerful, standing ovation.

Lastly, but also the highlight of morning’s class, was the presentation of gifts to show appreciation for the Mothers of the Faithful.

“We are so thankful for our beloved Mothers of the Faithful, who were willing to pay this price, to help birth an entire Nation of Islam,” Nneka Muhammad from Chicago stated. There was a special tribute video tribute to Mother Clara Muhammad, wife of the Hon. Elijah Muhammad.

Now 80 years of age, Mother Ola Muhammad accepted and received her gift on stage and thanked the MGT.

“I urge you all to stay steadfast in your belief and follow your faith,” she told the crowd. “Thank you so much for everything!” She was gifted with a bouquet of white flowers.

Nation of Islam First Lady Mother Khadijah Farrakhan was gifted with a similar bouquet but with red, pink and white flowers. Her daughter, Khallada Farrakhan, accepted the gift on her mother’s behalf.

“I am deeply honored to accept this award for my mother,” she stated, “because this is the best class you could ever have. Don’t take for granted what you learn here, it is your foundation and what is going to take us into the Hereafter.”

“Look at your sisters next to you and know that that is actually your sister, not by blood but by faith,” she continued tearfully. “I love you all!”

Mother Evelyn Muhammad and Mother Tynnetta Muhammad were also honored.

As a surprise, Sandy Muhammad was also gifted with a bouquet of flowers and a gift box shortly before closing remarks and prayer.
