CHICAGO—The FOI (Fruit of Islam) and MGT and GCC (Muslim Girls Training and General Civilization Class), are the men and women of the Nation of Islam. An important part of their faith includes sharing what they have learned with others and they have implemented The “teach a man to fish” principle by spreading the life-giving Teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, in their communities.

The FOI often “fish” in the streets of cities across the country through distribution of The Final Call newspaper, giving away DVD messages of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, or offering a kind word and inviting guests to attend weekly mosque meetings and lectures.

Right beside them are the MGT, who often attend community outreach events offering healthy, homecooked food and distributing information about the teachings to passersby and those in need. Regardless of the condition of our people, the FOI and MGT are amongst our people to share the same light of Islam that has touched their lives.

Over the last few weeks in Chicago, a dedicated group of Believers have worked diligently in bringing guests to the mosque. The top fisherman, formerly known as Brother Warren 2X, is well-known for his efforts in bringing first time guests to hear Sunday lectures and to participate in community events at Mosque Maryam. Min. Farrakhan recognized and applauded the mighty work of the Believers who “fish” consistently and recently bestowed on Brother Warren 2X the holy name Abdul Malik Muhammad.

All Praise is due to Allah for the hard work of the FOI and MGT!
