Audrey Muhammad, publisher and editor of Virtue Magazine with her husband Polymin Muhammad who is originally from London and daughter Hasana Muhammad, a 16 year old high school senior who serves as Virtue’s assistant editor.
What do you do if you don’t like the images that you see of yourself in the media?  “Change it!” said the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan in his Holy Day of Atonement message in Philadelphia in 2011.  That is what Virtue Today Magazine has been doing for the past 15 years—changing the negative images of sisters and brothers with a classy, polished, and inspirational publication.

Virtue Magazine has interviewed Erykah Badu, Mother Tynnetta Muhammad (May Allah be pleased with her), Dr. Ava Muhammad and many more.  To celebrate 15 years, Virtue Magazine has complied a beautiful “history” book that showcases some of the “pearls of wisdom” and “jewels of guidance” that have been given over the years, says editor, Audrey Muhammad.

Did you know that Mother Tynnetta Muhammad said couples should get pre-marital counseling? What did Muhammad Ali’s daughter say about growing up in the Nation of Islam?   Do you know the best manner in which we should pray, according to Min. Farrakhan?  These questions and more are answered in this special limited anniversary book entitled, Virtue:  Pearls of Wisdom and Jewels of Guidance.

The book also includes two new interviews from R&B Singer Karyn “Superwoman” White and social media influencer and rapper, Neelam Hakeem.  Words of appreciation are expressed in the dedication to the editor’s mother, Eva Flowers. Virtue thanks Min. Farrakhan and Student National MGT Captain Sandy Muhammad for allowing the magazine edition to be given as a Saviours’ Day gift to the MGT who attended their classes in 2017 and 2018.

The book features a timeline and picture from each issue over the past 15 years.  “The Minister told me in Charleston, N.C. in November of 2016 that Virtue Magazine is ‘a powerful tool to uplift the woman’ and commended me on the work we have done.   I am extremely humbled and thankful that he gave me those words of encouragement to keep going,” said Audrey Muhammad. The editor also acknowledges The Final Call Newspaper and editor in chief, Richard B. Muhammad for their media support over the years.

To celebrate this milestone, The Virtue Magazine staff has launched a book-signing/history tour and recently had one in Durham and Greensboro, N.C. and Detroit at Muhammad Mosque No. 1.
