The Pilgrimage to Mecca—The Divine Light of Allah Shines from the East even unto the West

“And for every nation We appointed acts of devotion that they might mention the name of Allah on what He has given them of the cattle quadrupeds. So your God is One God, therefore to Him should you submit. And give good news to the humble, Whose hearts tremble when Allah is mentioned, and who are patient in their afflictions, and who keep up prayer, and spend of what We have given them.”—Holy Qur’an, Surah 22, Verses 34 & 35

I begin this article, based upon my previous writings, as one of the witnesses to this extraordinary period of our Nation’s history in America, being one of 51 pioneers selected to receive an honorary award presented by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan at our pioneers’ gala banquet on Friday evening, October 15, which was commensurate with the beginning of Ramadan. We have come to a turning point of great significance.

The entire weekend, (October 15-17) was so striking in its overwhelming effect on everyone in attendance, that carried with it the reflective and collective memories of the past, present and future perfect tense, that words cannot fully describe the joy and happiness of the hour. It was much like the three day Umrah (Visit) to the Holy City of Mecca.

I am writing this article from Baltimore, Maryland, where I was the guest of the M.G.T. Captain, Sister Leslie Muhammad and the women’s class in that city this past Saturday. I was also invited by Minister Carlos Muhammad to be the guest speaker on the following Sunday mosque meeting.

I was filled with such compassion reflecting over the stirring events of October’s celebration in Chicago, which were intensely fashioned to my own memories of my life journey traveling with the Wise Man, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and his blessed companion the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. I have been inspired to begin writing my story of the life and times of our Nation that Almighty God, Allah, has allowed me to live as a witness to the power of His presence through the Divine Teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.

We have come to a particular period in our Nation’s history in America, walking in the footsteps and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) to begin writing and archiving our own history for the world to see. We are retracing our footsteps back to the beginning in Detroit and Hamtramck, Michigan, with the coming of Master W. Fard Muhammad and the establishment of the Nation of Islam in America. This is the greatest story ever to be told and marks the first time that God meets in Person with His people on this farthest western horizon, fulfilling the prophecy that the Sun of Islam would rise in the West.

The timeline given in the fulfillment of this prophetic history has arrived and is being recorded, and we are the participants in this great drama. We had to live through the past histories of the prophets and their people described in the scriptures of both Bible and Holy Qur’an, in order to prove that we are the Original People of God. Since the Holy Qur’an was revealed as the final scripture that takes us up to the time of the Judgment of this world, it is the timeline of history that gives us the most accurate picture and final testament of the events leading to the end of this world.

We add to this history of Prophet Muhammad 30 years of the caliphate, beginning with Abu Bakr to Ali. This aspect of history, as applied to the Nation of Islam in America, is measured from the time of the departure of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in 1975 to the year 2005. We have now entered the final war in which opposition from the hypocrites and the disbelievers will be overcome by Muhammad and his followers who emerge victorious over their enemies with the divine Help of Allah and His Angelic Hosts. As the Honorable Elijah Muhammad signed off his articles in the Muhammad Speaks newspaper with these words, “The time of this world is at hand!”

“And the camels, We have made them of the signs appointed by Allah for you—for you therein is much good. So mention the name of Allah on them standing in a row. Then when they fall down on their sides, eat of them and feed the contented one and the beggar. Thus have We made them subservient to you that you may be grateful. Not their flesh, nor their blood, reaches Allah, but to Him is acceptable observance of duty on your part. Thus has He made them subservient to you, that you may magnify Allah for guiding you aright. And give good news to those who do good (to others). Surely Allah defends those who believe. Surely Allah loves not anyone who is unfaithful, ungrateful.”
