“Jesus, son of Mary, said:  O Allah, our Lord, send down to us food from heaven which should be to us an ever-recurring happiness to the first of us and the last of us, and a sign from Thee, and give us sustenance and Thou art the Best of the sustainers.”—Holy Qur’an, Surah 5, verse 114

I am writing this article for the current edition of our newspaper from Accra, Ghana, the 10th country we have visited on a 53-Nation Friendship Tour inspired by our Beloved Minister as a Mission of Peace which has resulted in a Revival of Islam and a renewed Commitment of Faith among the Faithful, who have been touched by the Divine Word and Call of Almighty God, Allah, to be united as one.  As we end the Ramadan Fast as observed by the followers of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in the Month of December, we enter the New Year of 1998 still in observance of Ramadan, the Month in which the Holy Qur’an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad more than 1,400 years ago. What is the significance of this great merging of the Ramadan Fast observed both in the East and in the West?  And why did these transitional dates take place in Ghana?

On Dec. 29, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan met with Ghana’s President, Jerry John Rawlings, while a few members of his delegation were also present.  I was reminded once again of the Benevolent King of Abyssinia who opened his arms and his country to host some of Muhammad’s Followers during a time of severe persecution waged against the Prophet from among the Qur’aish Leaders in Arabia’s Holy City of Mecca.  In that same afternoon, Min. Farrakhan addressed an audience of Muslims, Christians and Traditional Leaders concerning the condition of our world under its one and only political superpower, America, and the solutions to this unipole power vacuum as we head into the 21st Century.

Our arrival in Ghana was preceded by a few whistle-stop visits in The Gambia, Niger and Liberia where once again, Min. Farrakhan and our entourage were received as Dignitaries and the Minister as a Head of State.  I reflected over the Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s Work and Mission to join the hearts of the Children in America to our Fathers in Africa and around the world, giving to us God’s rich inheritance for his people of Luxury, Money, Good Homes and Friendship in all Walks of Life.  After being a slave for over 400 years. God Desires to raise us to a place of eminence by His Divine Will.

“And We desired to bestow a favour upon those who were deemed weak in the land, and to make them the leaders, and to make them the heirs, and to grant them power in the land, and to make Pharaoh and Haman and their hosts see from them what they feared.”  (Surah 28, verses 5-6) In every country that the Minister visited, with the exception of Egypt and Jordan, he was received by Presidents. May those countries and their people prosper who received us on our Sacred Journey back Home.

Our arrival in Ghana on the 28th of December marked the third anniversary of the Nation of Islam’s First Celebrated International Saviour’s Day on the theme, “Fulfilling The Vision of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad,” Ghana’s Great President is the first individual in our  most recent recorded history to open the doors to brotherly love and hospitality to our people and nation through the love and friendship of Min. Farrakhan who is being guided by Allah to unite our hearts as brethren.  As the Minister has stated in many of his addresses: “And you were on the brink of a pit of fire, then He saved you from it.  Thus Allah makes clear to you His messages that you may be guided.”  (Surah 3, verse 102)

I wondered why we have experienced this merging of the two experiences of Ramadan observed on the one hand in the closing 12th Month of the Gregorian Calendar and in the 9th Month in the Arab Lunar Calendar.  Could it be a sign of a Great Event foretelling a Calendar Change that we are about to experience between the Western Gregorian Calendar and the 13 Moon Calendar Change discovered through the pioneering research of Jose’ and Lloydine Arguelles.  I have also wondered why it was only President Muammar Ghadafi of Libya who advocated several years ago that the Muslim World should return to the Arab Lunar Calendar and come off of the Gregorian Calendar.  How many Muslim Leaders took this seriously and how many others have studied the implications of why the 13 Lunar Calendar Change is so important to the survival of our world?

While the Arguelles’ are on their most important Mission to the Vatican in Rome, our Beloved Minister is continuing to sound the Final Call Trumpet to the World of Nations in the Valley of Decision, hoping to avert the War of Armageddon.  Min. Farrakhan is on a Mission of Peace resulting in the Revival of Islam. This was the Opening Theme of this year’s Saviour’s Day Event-The Revival, and into this picture we have been introduced to the Mujjedid, the Reformer of this New Century of Islam, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, who is making the Great Commission of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad Known through his Example and in the Delivery of the Divine Word of God.

“And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. And to Allah are all affairs returned.”—Holy Qur’an, Surah 3, verse 108.
