Look upon yourself as divine

"I have said, ‘You are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
But you shall die like men...’ " (Psalms 82:6,7)

In my last article, I referred to the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan as that sign by which all other signs that have been generated by the presence and work of the Mahdi and the Messiah can be explained. Every sign described in the scriptures that signal the physical presence of the Mahdi and the Messiah are now manifest. Since he arose in 1977, Minister Farrakhan has explained, at one time or another, every sign of Their presence and work.

You say, "Jabril, you are overdoing Minister Farrakhan." I am not. I’m saying that to say, that means that you just don’t understand. You say, "Minister Farrakhan can’t be that important." He’s more important than what I’ve mostly stated.

Not only am I not exaggerating his importance, but if you understood him better, you would better appreciate how important you are. And if you knew who you are—your real identity and potential—you would be happy to learn who Minister Farrakhan is and what he is here for. And, you would be happy all day long, even while living in a hellish place.

Minister Farrakhan, in his November 5, 1994 talk in Los Angeles, California, stated that: "Our father said, ‘Whenever you are looking at a Black man, you’re looking at God.’ Let’s close this phase of our talk with those words.

"When I look at you, brother, I’m looking at God. I know who I’m looking at. The little child, that is in the back, I saw him walking—Brother Malik Farrakhan’s son. When I see the little boy, I know I’m looking at God, growing. When I see you, I see God too, in the female form. This is a God. Not just him. You produced him. How can you be less than god to produce God?

"Now, how do you talk to God? How do you handle God?"

Before we continue his words, let’s stop here for a moment and think. We have here a Black man—Minister Farrakhan—born in the United States of America, where Black people were taught for centuries that they were sub-humans, not made in the image of God. Self-hatred was thoroughly instilled in us.

Nevertheless, here is a Black man teaching Black people in the United States of America to look upon themselves as divine—directly from God. This is not racism, nor insanity. But what does the presence of such teaching in America signify? The Messiah’s presence.

In Psalms, which we’ve been told contains David’s words, we read that which helps us to see what Minister Farrakhan is teaching.

Psalms 82:1 reads: "God stands in the congregation of the mighty; he judges among the gods." Psalms 82:6 reads: "I have said, ‘You are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.’ " Psalms 86:8 reads: "Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord."

Psalms 95:3 reads: "For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods." Psalms 96:4 states: "For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods."

Was David a polytheist? No Jew, no Christian and no Muslim would refer to David as a polytheist. How, then, are we to understand his words about "gods?" In his explanation of the greetings of peace, Minister Farrakhan is casting great light on this question, especially for those who did not hear his teacher’s explanations of the same.

Psalms 135:5 reads: "For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods." Psalms 136:2 reads: "O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endures for ever." Psalms 138:1 states: "I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee."

Now, the use of the word "gods" in this paragraph is not necessarily the same as this same word, "gods" that is used in the verses quoted above. One refers to man’s glorified state and the other refers to idols, as follows. Psalms 96:5 reads: "For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Psalms 97:7 reads: "Confounded be all they that serve graven images that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods. Psalms 97:9 reads: "For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods."

David has been seen for many centuries as a sign, or as a type, of the Messiah, who is to appear at the end of the world to usher in the kingdom or the complete rule of God on earth. Do these words in Psalms, attributed to David, point to what the Messiah will teach of man’s true self? How can you establish God’s rule on earth without teaching man to be like God—thus making him a little god too?

Many people have different views about the truth of these and similar passages from the scriptures. There is absolutely nothing that you can bring up of truth that somebody else won’t dispute. Regardless to how clear or plain truth is taught, or verified, there are still many people who will dispute that truth all day and night. The degree to which this occurs today is a sign that this is the end of this world. Disputing truth today has reached its zenith.

This teaching has been here for approximately 70 years. No one has proven it false. Even in our madness, we indirectly bear witness to the truth of who we are. But what will happen when we, as a people, realize who we are and start being ourselves on a mass level? So God and the Messiah made Minister Farrakhan to deal with us and to educate us on a mass level as to who we really are. He’s succeeding even though opposed every second of the day.

Allah created witnesses of everything that He created. He wants to be known. He has always wanted to be known ever since He ceased to be known by the masses of the people of the earth. That was when He allowed that which separated man from Himself, and man from man.

Man lived in peace with and loved God. God lived in peace with and loved man. This went on for trillions of years. But there came a time when a profound interference arose, which God allowed, to interfere with the ongoing process by which man continued in the state of oneness with God. That problem developed trillions of years ago. It’s being solved now.

There are people who refer to this aspect of the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad as mythical. That’s false. It’s history that could not be revealed until today. You cannot get this history from the scholars of this world. They go back so far and run into the wall of their own ignorance.

The learned of the scholars of this world know enough not to argue the truth of the Black man’s identity, because they see signs, both past and present of this truth.
