mustard seed grows to provide soothing shade
In 1981, from the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago on Feb. 22, on the
occasion of the rebirthed Nation of Islams first Saviours Day,
the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan made a profound announcement.
"We have invited you here to make an
earthshaking announcement, which from this day forward we will be
challenged to prove," the Minister told the several thousand
people gathered. "However, if you watch and listen to us, you
will see that every nation and kingdom on earth will be rocked by the
power coming from this tiny little budding Nation, described by Jesus
in the Bible as a mustard seed.
"Though the mustard seed is the smallest of
all seeds, when it germinates, grows, and spreads forth its branches,
every fowl and bird finds refuge under its branches. What you are
witnessing today is not simply the rebirth of the Nation of Islam, but
the birth of the kingdom of God on Earth!" he declared.
On Feb. 27, 2000, the nations of the Earth gathered
under the spreading branches of the tree that has sprouted forth from
that seed. And though it is far from fully developed, those gathered
at the United Center for the keynote address of Minister Farrakhan
were soothed by the refreshing drink of kno_wledge that flowed freely
for all to partake.
Further evidence that the hand of Allah (God) was,
is and continues to be with this budding nation is the re-uniting of
Min. Farrakhan and Imam W. Deen Mohammed, leader of the Muslim
American Society and son of the Hon. Elijah Muhammad.
With this unification, the vision of the Hon.
Elijah Muhammad moved closer to fruition. He foretold the dismantling
of what he had built as the Nation of Islam as a force of Black pride
and a vanguard against racism and oppression. But he also told some of
his ministers that the Nation would be resurrected, never to fall
again.
The joy emanating from all at Saviours Day 2000
verified the wisdom of Mr. Muhammads words. With a united front of
Min. Farrakhan and Imam Mohammed, the problems of the American
society, particularly those challenging the masses of Blacks in this
country, will get a refreshing perspective and righteous alternatives
for solutionsan Islamic alternative.
Those nations gathered at the United Center
were represented by Muslim, Christian and Jewish rabbis, clerics and
scholars from Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Canada and other
regions. They had come to participate in the 2nd International Islamic
Conference hosted by the Nation of Islam in conjunction with the World
Islamic Peoples Leadership.
What they witnessed was a disciplined group of
Muslims in America, growing strong in a nation that has kept Islam out
of society since it was founded.
The scholars taught, but they also learned. And
they realized that there is an entire hemisphere awaiting the
life-giving message of the Holy Quran and that those Muslims under
the leadership of Min. Farrakhan and Imam Mohammed have the keys to
successfully take the message across the land.
"There is nothing my people need more badly
than unity," was a constant message of the Hon. Elijah Muhammad.
"When this is achieved, we would have a greater weapon in our
hands and possession than all the atomic bombs the West can
manufacture."
At Saviours Day 2000 an explosion occurred that
will rock the world for Allah, and for righteousness. |
