CONFLICT RAGES AROUND the globe--ethnic, religious, political--while the human values of compassion, love and tolerance seem to vanish as fast as technology races forward. The world needs a peacemaker, in this season where the word peace is oft repeated but the work of peace is rarely practiced.
As the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan departs on his Third World Friendship Tour, to spread the message of atonement, reconciliation and responsibility, the world has an example of a true peacemaker.
The Minister, despite media lies and misportrayals, has dedicated his life to peace and the spiritual, and moral development of human beings. His mission has been to teach people of their divine essence and their connection to the Supreme Being. His words, by Allah's (God's) grace, sink deep into the heart, helping to heal the wounds between males and females, fathers and sons, and mother and daughters.
Over the past 40 years, Min. Farrakhan has suffered assaults on his reputation, death threats, criticism and media ridicule. He has defended himself but never shown a trade of bitterness. He has also taught people who once hated themselves to love self and practice a life that leads to peace.
The Minister has been disciplined in speech and action, seeking a way to solve differences in the best manner. He has reproached those who are victims of their own ignorance.
As in the past, the Minister's tour has potential for great good in helping America forge a just foreign policy, helping Muslim nations to reconcile their differences, helping to offer a fair solution that will promote Middle East peace and helping to take a spiritual message to a world dedicated to carnal values.
On the other side, the Minister hopes to establish friendship covenants and economic projects with other nations to help rebuild the wasted cities and, in effect, help America solve a problem she seems unable or unwilling to solve.
The tragic reality is Min. Farrakhan's vision for true peace--through justice and fair dealing--makes him a target for those who exploit the ignorant, the weak and the powerless. His call for a just foreign policy offends and troubles those who only are concerned about American dominance as the world's only superpower, who care little for the rest of the world.
THE SAD REALITY is Min. Farrakhan is a Black man from a deeply divided nation, with an obsession with race and the need to control Black people.
The sad reality is as a peacemaker moves about to heal the human soul, the wicked plan his death and hope for his failure that their dying world may live yet one more day.
The ultimate truth is Allah (God) has decreed a new day as the world moves toward a final day of decision. The scriptures warn of God's anger and the destruction of the wicked and their civilization. But if the world will heed the warning that change and obedience to God must come, the destruction can be averted.
The voice of truth and peace is echoing the Final Call. We pray Allah (God) will continue to bless, guide and protect Min. Farrakhan and safely return him to us. We pray the world will heed and obey his words of warning and guidance.
