What does the New Millennium hold for Christians, Muslims and Jews; and how does Egypt hold part of the answer

"And certainly We have made the Word to have many connections for their sake, so that they may be mindful.  Those to whom We gave the Book before it, they are believers in it."Holy Qur'an, Surah 28, verse 51 & 52Unveiling the Number 19

The last several articles have focused on an extraordinary 10-day visit to Egypt ending exactly within a 10-day countdown to the beginning of the New Millennium. What was this special Mission all about and why was it necessary to take such a journey in such perilous times, as indicated by all signs of world events. There are two more phases of this experience that are yet to be explored, one of which has to do with the past 6,000 years of world history, and the second pertains to the resolution of conflicts arising between the worlds Three Great Monotheistic Religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Why have these Three most influential Religions of the World, sharing a common ancestral origin claiming Abraham as their Father, been rocked with ages of conflict and turmoil?

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, walking in the footsteps of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, as His Greatest Helper, has been given the difficult task of carrying a great portion of his burden in dealing with a rebellious people, who are difficult to lead in the right direction but easy to be led in the wrong direction. This condition answers to the condition of the people of Jonah, (10th Chapter), as well as in the Bibles reference to Jonah, who cannot discern between their right hands and their left hands, having been swallowed up by the greatest country on Earth in todays contemporary, Modern Americawho can be compared to the Wicked Ninevites who repented of their evils and received an extension of Time for another century or two because they heeded the warning of Jonah in their midst.

Today, unquestionably, Min. Farrakhan answers to that Modern Day Jonah who is wrestling with a hardhearted people on both sides who continuously reject Gods Mercy and His warning as in the past, even though a Modern Jonah has been raised in our midst, as well as a Modern Moses and Aaron, as well as a Modern Redeemer, Saviour, Guide and Messiah that the world has been expecting for the last 2,000 years.

Thus in the Language of Atonement, we have been given Eight Powerful Steps to Redemption, which have set the tone for the Reconciliation of our differences for the entire world of fallen humanity. As a result of this Display of Gods Mercy, many have responded like so many Doubting Thomases, who wish to exploit the masses with their tainted views and interpretations of Min. Farrakhans Appeal for a Universal Dialogue between these Three Principle Religious Communities.

In Old Cairos narrow and dusty stone cobbled streets, our Team, which included Sister Rosalind Muhammad and her husband, Brother Karriem Diallo Muhammad, witnessed the living sights and sounds of Peace and Harmony being expressed between the Leaders and Congregations of the oldest Coptic Church in Egypt, St. Sargius Church, and adherents of the Oldest Synagogue in Egypt, the Ben Ezra Synagogue, surrounded by over 20 Mosques which sound the Call to Prayer in concert with Christians and Jews all mingled together in Cairo, Egypt. This was again an unexpected Sign of Egypt, from one end to the other extension of Great Stone Monuments, Pyramids and Temples, illuminating for us a Living Testimony that such religious harmony and peace viewed here could be exemplified throughout the world as an awakening consciousness of Religious and Racial Tolerance that could replace the destructive political rivalries and camps of discord that exist today.

Added to this experience, we were blessed to meet with the Grand Sheik of Al-Azhar Mosque and University, Sheik Dr. Mohamed Sayed Tantawi, the Grand Imam who is Head over the most Illustrious and oldest of Institutions in the world, boasting over 1,000 years of continuous History all combined in this ancient Capital of the world. Dr. Tantawi, who met with Min. Farrakhan, while visiting Cairo on his World Friendship Tour III, in 1997, extended encouraging and strengthening words to Min. Farrakhan, praising his excellent work of Spiritual Leadership, and is hoping to attend our Second Islamic Leadership Conference to be held in Chicago during our annual Saviours Day Celebration in February.

The Father of the Oldest Coptic Church, Reverend Gabriel G. Bes-tavros, residing under the Leadership and Authority of Pope Chenouda III Pope of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria, is also in anticipation of Attending our great Saviours Day event. We are also expecting some of the Rabbis and Leadership of the Jewish Faith to be in attendance to establish the Divine Unity of our Common Belief in the Complete Sovereignty and Oneness of God, Who is the Father and the Originator of us All.

Why Y2K Prophecies of Doom? I believe it was intended to bring all of common humanity, who have turned their backs on God and His True Religion of Peace, to the brink or a Pit of Fire, to be cognizant of Gods Presence at the end of the world that we have known, enabling us to enter into the New Time of Peace and Harmony, that can only come through Gods Presence and His Bestowal of Grace. Perhaps through Prayer and the working out of our differences through the Atonement Process, we may survive to live to see a Century of Peace coming after the worst Century of war, bloodshed, violence and death ever recorded in the annals of world history. In the end, Only God Knows if we can all Beat the Prophets Prediction and heed THE FINAL CALL!

"And when it is recited to them they say: We believe in it; surely it is the Truth from our Lord; we were indeed before this submitting ones. These will be granted their reward twice, because they are steadfast, and they repel evil with good and spend out of what We have given them. And when they hear idle talk, they turn aside from it and say: For us are our deeds and for you your deeds. Peace be to you! We desire not the ignorant."

Holy Quran, Surah 28, verses 53-55

To be continued.
