'The Time and What Must Be Done' 2013 Lecture Series, Part 17

In The Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful.
Greetings to you. I am Minister Louis Farrakhan, National Representative of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, that Great Preacher of Freedom, Justice and Equality to the Black man and woman of the America and the Western hemisphere, and to the Aboriginal People of the Earth.
He is The Eternal Leader of the Nation of Islam, and a Warner to the government and people of the United States of America, and the nations of the Earth.
By The Grace of God I am so pleased to once again bring you another part of “The Time and What Must Be Done” Lecture series, to discuss the scripture in the Holy Qur’an, Surah 45 Al-Jathiyah (“The Kneeling”), Section 4 “The Doom,” verses 27-28 of “a nation kneeling down before its record,” and God saying, “And you will be requited for what you did.”
In the Bible it talks about a “time of betrayal”—and I mentioned in Part 16 some of “the betrayals” by America of her so-called friends, assassinating them. During my African tour, I was in the former African nation of Zaire, and the president of Zaire, Mr. Joseph Mobutu, came to the airport to meet our delegation. Our chartered jet was late, but he waited a long time; and when we finally arrived, they whisked us away to his palatial retreat, and there he had a great evening for us. And then he took me away in a private room, and he said to me, in a very sad tone: “Brother Farrakhan, I did everything for America, and they won’t even talk to me. They kicked me to the curb.”
What could I say to my poor deceived brother? And what can I say to you, my beloved brothers and sisters, who are being enlisted, now, in colleges, in Black colleges, to be a part of the CIA, to be a part of the F.B.I.—these wicked elements that have done so much harm to the rise of Black people, and others, in America?
America: Have not you betrayed those who became your “snitches”; became your “informers”?
America’s ties to The Mafia: The ‘quid pro quo’ of befriending Mischief-Making Liars and Murderers
Why, America, would you contract The Mafia, known gangsters, to kill Cuban President Fidél Castro? What was the quid pro quo (“this for that”): What did you give The Mafia in exchange for The Mafia’s willingness to assassinate a head of government for you?
And you don’t want me to invite to “a table of unity” gang members in Chicago?
After my Saviours’ Day keynote address on “Muhammad’s Economic Blueprint: Ending Poverty and Want” that I delivered February 24, 2013, you lied and said, “Farrakhan wants them to be used to protect” whatever we purchased. That is false! We are very well able to do that ourselves! No, they are our family; and we wanted them to invite them to the table to give them a role to play in The Rise of our people!

Salvatore “Sam” Giancana, “the chieftain” of Cosa Nostra (“The Mafia”), and the successor to Al Capone: He met with some of his colleagues at The Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach; there, Giancana suggested that rather than try to shoot or blow up Mr. Castro, some type of potent pill that could be placed in Castro’s food or drink would be “much more effective.” He said a corrupt Cuban official named Juan Orta, who was in debt to “The Syndicate”—and had access to the Cuban leader—would carry out the poisoning. The CIA subsequently obtained and supplied six pills of high-lethal content to Orta; but after several weeks of abortive attempts, Orta demanded “out” of the operation.
Are these kinds of wicked acts still being perpetrated by the F.B.I. now? Because the F.B.I. under J. Edgar Hoover, in “The Church Committee Hearings” [circa 1975-1976, congressional hearings that probed widespread intelligence abuses by the FBI, CIA, IRS and NSA]: They brought home every wicked trick that they used to destabilized nations; and put nations at odds with each other, and people within nations at odds with each other.
They brought those “tricks” home to America to use it among Black organizations that were struggling to better the quality of life of Black people in America.
Juan Orta, this Cuban official, “owed something” to The Syndicate. Well, you that are listening to these broadcasts, and reading these words: What do you owe? You that want to shorten your prison time for evil acts that you do: You would go to court and lie for those in authority to put your brother “under the table,” or in a jail cell? Remember how The Enemy treats his “friends”…
I feel sorry for you “snitches”—I feel sorry for you that would do the bidding of your Enemy, and mine! But I warned you last week: What you “plan for us,” you’ve already planned it for yourself.
All of these plots happened during the Kennedy Administration. Additional proof of this is a book published in 2013 by journalist Bill Deane called “Smooth Criminal: A One-Man American Crime Wave.” In it, he claimed that former President John F. Kennedy endorsed freeing rapists, drug dealers and mafia hitmen from prison so they could attempt to murder Communist leader Fidél Castro. He further says J.F.K. didn’t explicitly order the program, but was aware of the operation that allowed an ex-con to pretend to be a waiter at Castro’s favorite restaurant in Cuba in order to slip the Communist leader poison tablets.
A special note to my believing and beloved Believers: Be careful of where you eat. Be careful, as the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said to me: “Brother, be careful of who feeds you, because they will poison you!” Well, if that’s for me, that’s for you that believe and want to help me in this Great Mission of The Resurrection of our people!
So don’t eat out so much, and make it “regular” so that a waiter can be slipped in to poison you, and then “vanish.” Be wise, and protect the life that Almighty God Allah has given us!
‘Look behind’ everything a Natural Liar speaks, for they create many ‘lying wonders’
America, those whom you were persecuting and prosecuting, The Mafia: You would go to them, and ask them to kill Castro. And the quid pro quo was “something in return for what they did.” Can we trust you? Can we say now, with the bombing in Boston that occurred April 15, 2013 that you are “telling the truth”? We are studying all that is being said, and we have many questions to ask you—but we already know that you have created many “lying wonders.” Is this another one?
What would make you close down a whole city—even close air space; and put 9,000 soldiers of various organizations of security into Watertown? What made you act like that? Well, these are some questions, because you certainly had a deeper motive: Were some of your contractors present? Did they have backpacks on? We’ll be back at that one in a future broadcast. But I am saying to the American public: You are always duped! They lie, and then they probe you with “polls” to see how many of you were “caught up” in The Lie.
I don’t care what your “political aspirations” are: It is a terrible thing to make a bomb and kill people who have nothing to do with your “political aspiration”; but who would stand watching their families come through a “finish line” only to be killed, and their legs blown off and other horrific wounds given to them. I noticed that the bombs didn’t go off while “the stars” of The Marathon, who complete their marathon between “2 hours” and “2 hours and 40 minutes”—but it was 9 minutes after the 4th hour that the bombs went off, when the families of those who would take four hours would be at the finish line cheering on their family members, rooting for the causes for which they were running. Well, we’ll talk about this in a future broadcast.
The scripture teaches that “Satan deceived the whole world.” Shouldn’t you “look behind” everything that a Natural Liar speaks? If Satan deceived the whole world, don’t you think we are in the world and can be deceived with “lying wonders”? You should wake up and look behind everything that a Mischief-Making Liar brings before the American public through a controlled media! Satan is The Father of Lies!
By the way: There are some of you who hear me “quoting the Bible.” Yes, I am. And when I quote it, what you do is you go find what I quoted, and see if what I’m saying is correct! But the exegesis of what I am giving you is what God Himself has taught the Honorable Elijah Muhammad! “The Messiah” is not a man that just knows The Qur’an! The Qur’an says of “The Messiah” [that] He will be taught “The Book and The Wisdom, The Torah and The Gospel.”
So do not be “excited” if I quote the Bible, or The Holy Qur’an, or, The “Old” and “New” Testaments”—and The Wisdom of these Books—because that is the representation of The Wisdom of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad! As Jesus said unto some of the Jewish people to whom he was speaking, in the Book of John, Chapter 8: “If God were your father, you would love me for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but He sent me!” I can say the same: I’m not before you “of myself.” He sent me to deliver this Message.
‘O you who believe’: A Warning of the ‘Open Enemy’ that thrives in ‘deserts void of life’
Last week we also discussed these “desert creatures” that are the ones in power in the Western nations. And you that are in The Middle East that are a part of The Babylonian Empire: I hope that you are not becoming a “jackal,” a “hyena,” a “wild goat”; or an “owl,” or “a nocturnal bird of prey.” I want you to look into “the mirror” as we go on with this subject matter.
What is a “desert”? “Any area in which few forms of life can exist because of lack of water, permanent frost or absence of soil.” Synonyms are a “wasteland”; a “barren wilderness”— a desert is this kind of place because there’s no life in it! Well, if you “hide The Truth” and “mix up Truth with Falsehood”: In the scripture, “water” is also symbolic of “truth,” because no “life” can exist without water, and no people can enjoy what God has made of them or made them to enjoy without Truth! So we are told, “Call to the way of your Lord with justice and in good voice.”
The Qur’an says The Devil is our “open enemy.” This is not a “hidden” fella; he’s all the way out “in the open” as an Open Enemy! Let’s look at the Holy Qur’an’s teaching in Surah 2 Al-Baqarah (“The Cow”), verse 208: “O you who believe, enter into complete peace and follow not the footsteps of the devil. Surely he is your open enemy.” This is telling us that “The Devil” is not “a spirit.” “The Devil” is a human being whose spirit, and The Energy of his life, is giving to Lying, Stealing and Murder!
When the Holy Qur’an says, “O you who believe, follow not the footsteps of the devil”: You can’t make a “step” without a foot, so this is a human being with feet that makes “a path”—and God is telling us not to follow in The Path of this Mischief-Making Blood Shedder, for surely, The Qur’an says “He commands evil and indecency.” In the Holy Qur’an, Surah 24 Al-Nur (“The Light”), verse 21: “O you who believe, follow not the footsteps of the devil. And whoever follows the footsteps of the devil, surely he commands indecency and evil. And were it not for Allah’s grace on you and His mercy, not one of you would ever have been pure, but Allah purifies whom He pleases. And Allah is Hearing, Knowing.” Again, in Surah 17 Bani Isra’il (“The Israelites”), verse 53: “And say to My servants that they speak what is best. Surely the devil sows dissensions among them. The devil is surely an open enemy to man.” These scriptures are an admonition to His own servants, or “Muslims,” that The Enemy is among us sowing “the seeds of dissension” among us! The Open Enemy of us is among us, pitting one against the others!
So “Believers”: Argue with the people with that which is best; and never curse people, or enter into vile discussions. That is “the way” you must argue, because you represent God. But for “The Disbelievers”: In the entire chapter called “The Disbelievers” (Surah 109 Al-Kafirun), look at how Allah revealed this to Muhammad, telling him to say—and I am saying to you, Disbelievers: “O disbelievers, I serve not what you serve. Nor do you serve Him Whom I serve, Nor shall I serve that which you serve, nor do you serve Him Whom I serve. For you is your recompense, and for me is mine.”
I represent God. I represent The Christ. I represent The Messiah; I represent The Mahdi that is in the world. These are Living Men, Anointed with Power by The Originator of The Heavens and The Earth to end this world, and to bring in a World of Peace, Freedom, Justice and Equality where we all can live together in peace.

Study the picture of “Uncle Sam” as “a snake wrapped around the world”:
Are you sure that the “head of the snake” is one that you wish to have as your “friend”? Do you think that he’s a “good counselor” to you?
Do you think that when he gets my talented brothers and sisters in music, in sport and play, that he’s giving you good counsel? Why do you always end up broke—and broken; but your accountants go on to wealth and power, your lawyers go on to wealth and power, your agents go on to wealth and power, while you go to jail, or to the grave, with nothing? You’ve taken them for friends! Pay attention to what the Holy Qur’an says in Surah 60 Al-Mumtahanah (“The Woman Who is Examined”), verses 1-2, about taking such an Enemy for a “friend”:
“O you who believe, take not My enemy and your enemy for friends. Would you offer them love, while they deny the Truth that has come to you, driving out the Messenger and yourselves because you believe in Allah, your Lord? If you have come forth to strive in My way and to seek My pleasure, would you love them in secret? And I know what you conceal and what you manifest. And whoever of you does this, he indeed strays from the straight path. [For] If they overcome you, they will be your enemies, and will stretch forth their hands and their tongues towards you with evil, and they desire that you may disbelieve.”
I have met the great ruler of Qatar, the emir [Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani]; he’s been a great charitable man to great causes around the world. I have met President Bashar Al-Assad, and his father, [the late, former President] Hafez Al-Assad. These leaders that I just mentioned are in the “crosshairs” of both God and “Satan,” because Satan cannot do the evil that he wishes to do to the Islamic world without the help of those who consider themselves “Muslims”! I met the Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; I met him when he was the mayor of Istanbul, and he hosted a dinner for me and those with me. These are not “bad people”! But even good people can make mistakes in choosing their “friends.”
Look at “Jesus and Peter.” Was not Peter his “chief disciple”? But when he spoke foolishly, what did Jesus say? He didn’t say “Get thee behind me Peter,” he said: “Get thee behind me, Satan,” because “Satan” can come out of the mouth of your mother, or your father, or your best friend!
So today, in this Time of Darkness, when “jackals are in high places,” when “hyenas are in high places”; when “wild goats”—and their “kids”—are “raising hell,” and when “owls,” this nocturnal bird of prey, are “at work”: Be careful who you take for your “friends.”
‘By the star when it sets’
Let us revisit the scripture we have been studying since Part 14, found in the Book of Isaiah, Chapter 13 (New International Version), verses 10-11: “The stars of heaven and their constellations will not show their light. The rising sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light.”
What does it mean “The rising sun will be darkened”? That’s a tough thing… “The Rising Sun” is at The End of The Darkest Hour; and sometimes the clouds in the east are so thick, it obscures the light of “the rising sun.” What does it mean that “the stars and their constellations,” and “the moon,” will not “show/give their light”? This is telling you that Darkness will spread so strong that it will obscure The Light of The Rising Sun, and it will obscure The Stars and Their Constellations, and The Moon. It’s not talking about “the star” in the heaven, or “the sun.” It’s talking about The Lights of Divine Scholarship and Knowledge that are in the people—it will be “covered.” And even The Light of your brother…
Read what is written in the Holy Qur’an, in the 53rd Surah called “The Star,” the 1st verse: “By the star when it sets...” And if you read Footnote 2371 of the Maulana Muhammad Ali’s translation of the Holy Qur’an: When “the star sets”—The Pleiades—there will be many great calamities!
And I am here to tell you that when I stop preaching, I have given you The Warning! I have given you, by The Grace of God, what must be done by the government of America! By us as Black people! By the leaders and the people of the world! It’s not on me anymore; after I have done my job, He will take me away from you, and then death and destruction will follow my absence!
America’s so-called problem with ‘Communism’ and ‘The Cuba Factor’
“Communism” is not a “problem” for America. America doesn’t have any aversion to doing business with communist nations; she does business with China; in fact, China is one of the greatest trading partners of America! If Wal-Mart wouldn’t go to China to get products, maybe Wal-Mart would not be the strong corporate entity that she is. So many business people from America are having their products produced in China.
America, you don’t have a problem with China’s communism, that it stops you from doing business. You also fought Vietnam, and they prevailed; they drove you out. Now it’s one nation—not “North” and “South.” But aren’t you there? Don’t you have those who fought in Vietnam going back to the areas where they fought now with “friendship”? Don’t you have Vietnamese that you brought from South Vietnam, and they are citizens of America; but they love their country: Aren’t they here? And even though Russia now has voting, and the appearance of some democratic processes, it still has a strong communist political presence! So if America has no problems with “friendship,” and doing business and trading with communist nations—but 90 miles from America is a nation called Cuba…
The Spaniards who were apart of The Criminal Enterprise of The Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade brought many Africans to Cuba; as the Portuguese brought many Africans to South America, particularly Brazil! Why, then, are you so upset with Cuba, that you would blockade Cuba for 54 years?
Cuba has been under the “withering heat” of America’s blockade and hatred of Castro and his Cuba. What did Mr. Castro do that makes you hate him so? What is it about “Socialism” in Cuba that makes Cuba persona non grata [“an unwelcomed person”] for America for all these years?
According to the demographics of The Original People in Cuba: They say about 68 percent of the Cuban people are “Black” and “Mulatto”—maybe more. I have discovered in my travels throughout the world that hiding “The Black Reality” is part of The White Strategy of “Supremacy.” …Our people are there in Cuba; they live there. So under America’s blockade and sanction, my brothers and sisters, as well as other human beings, are suffering! “Sanctions” does that.
And why do you do it, America? You do it to force the people to do something that pleases you—and that is to overthrow the government that you are sanctioning. So you make the people suffer; and this is what you’re doing to Iran! This is what you’re doing to North Korea! This is what you do to any nation that does not bow to your will!
Know that when God chose Moses, that didn’t “end the suffering” of The Children of Israel, because when Moses delivered The Message to Pharaoh, Pharaoh and his people increased the evil against The Children of Israel. So don’t think because Truth has come, that Falsehood would just “disappear immediately”—a fight ensues between The Lovers of Darkness and The Lovers of God’s Light!

“What did Castro do?” In this brief look at Cuba before Castro, Cuba was a “playground” for the wealthy of America; a “gangland paradise,” as you saw in the movie The Godfather; and it was a paradise for American companies and those who were the “big business” men and woman. But the Black man in Cuba was considered “nothing”—as he is in every society, dominated by so-called well-meaning White people.
So what did Castro do? The Babylonian Talmud instructs Jewish people that there are three things they have to have in order to be a “man”: 1) You must have land, or “real estate”; 2) You must have cash; and 3) You must have those who will work your land. If you own land, then you must have those that work the land, since you don’t work the land—you are “the owner.”
So the Talmud makes the Jews to have a “covenant relationship” with the land, mainly the land called “Israel” or “Palestine,” which maybe we’ll touch in next week’s broadcast. So when Fidél Castro rose to power, not as a “White man,” but as a mestizo—a “White”-looking man, but of color, who felt the pain of the common man of Cuba: When he overthrew Fulgencio Batista, he instituted agrarian land reform, and nationalized land and business! And 90 percent of the Jewish people that were on the island of Cuba left Cuba, and came to Florida, and other parts of America—but mainly Florida! And there, the hatred of Castro took palpable form.
Not only did these Jewish Cubans regain wealth and power, they became so powerful that politicians now needing the votes of Florida in the Electoral College: None of these politicians want to do that which would “anger” those in Florida, nor do they wish to help establish a better relationship with Cuba!
All Central America, and South America, is awake now; and they are angry with America not only because of your treatment of them, but because of your treatment of Cuba! And if you want “friendship” with South America and Central America, you’re going to have to adjust your policy toward Cuba!
That is what you must do—The Time requires it!
An Appeal to President Barack Obama
President Obama: You are a descendant from The People of Light—this is what made you so attractive to the entire world. But you are surrounded by jackals, by hyenas, by nocturnal creatures, by wild goats; and they want to use you as “the instrument” of their wicked, wicked aim, and policies, and desire for the rest of the world. And if you don’t follow their aim, they will try their best to assassinate you.
I know you are in between a “rock” and a “hard place,” my brother. But God is still God. God Protects me from them; and He will certainly protect you, if you put your trust in Him! You, my brother president, have to come back to God—not using His Name as a “shield,” but come back to The God that is the best part of your nature, and be yourself! And then stand up against those who would have you attack those who have done you no harm.
And you know it: You are from The God of Righteousness! And that beauty in your soul is what has made the world come to your door. You are, potentially, a very beautiful man—but you are surrounded by these nocturnal creatures.

When President Obama was first elected, I gave a message on November 9, 2008 titled “A New Beginning: President-Elect Barack Obama,” and in that message I appealed to the leadership of America not to “hamstring” the newly-elected president once he is sworn in and assumes the power of the presidency. I shared with you then verses from the Holy Qur’an, Chapter 7: “And to Thamud (We sent) their brother Salih. He said: O my people, serve Allah, you have no god other than Him. Clear proof has indeed come to you from your Lord. This is Allah’s she-camel—a sign for you… (Verse 73); and when they “…hamstrung the she-camel and revolted against their Lord’s commandment, and said: Salih, bring us that with which thou threatenest us [with], if thou art of the messengers. So the earthquake seized them, and they were motionless bodies in their abodes.” (Verses 77-78)
And as we see here in these scriptures, The Wicked did hamstring Allah’s “she-camel”—and forces within America, at every turn, are “hamstringing” President Obama from doing what I believe is deep within his heart: To make America a better “America,” and make the world a safer place to travel.
Thank you for not following Israel’s scientists! Thank you for asking the United Nations to investigate the charge that the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria is using “chemical weapons”!
Be warned, America: What is on the way to you is a great earthquake like it happened to Sodom and Gomorrah. And to my Brother President: I pray for you; I ask God to bless you and keep you from the snare of the nocturnal creatures that surround you.
So in closing: America, you must advance a better policy toward Cuba. You must not follow the hatred of your friends in Florida.
And to those of you who are Jewish: Please remember that if you use your tremendous power and influence to guide America again into war, this will be the end of your power as a “Jewish people” and “nation” universally. And America will go down if she follows your errant, insane arrogance and guidance.
