CHICAGO (FinalCall.com) - Viewers worldwide welcomed the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan back to the airwaves as he returned following an eight-week absence due to health complications.
“I’m so grateful to Allah that he brought me through these health challenges and has returned me to my post, and what is that? To deliver the message of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad on the Time and What Must Be Done,” he said in a Dec. 7 webcast.
During this series, the Minister has delivered solutions to the spiritual, economic, social and political problems plaguing the globe as the representative of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. His subject in the 48th installment of the weekly series was titled “Separation and Independence.”
“We must be separated from our former slave masters and we must by the order of Allah (God) become an independent nation,” said Min. Farrakhan.
The framework for this proposition and appeal to Black people is found on pages 203-204 of Message to the Blackman in America written by the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. The Minister noted that America’s Founding Fathers knew slavery was an immoral practice, and that one day, they would have to answer for it. Many U.S. presidents have spoken words indicating that they believe separation of the races is the solution, agreeing with Mr. Muhammad.
“America’s founders understood just how wrong and how wicked slavery was,” said the Minister.
He also used words written by Thomas Jefferson in the original draft of the Declaration of Independence that were later removed. That document, and the original design of the nation’s seal both contained more truths than the watered down versions we have today. In fact, in the original draft, Mr. Jefferson, accused the King of England of “piratical warfare” and was highly critical of the institution of slavery.
“They spoke angrily of the evils of Black slavery but only when they felt the King of England was taking all of the profits for just as soon as they broke away from the power of the crown, the leaders of the new nation supposedly founded on liberty increased the evil against the African people knowing all the time that it was wrong and morally unjustified. They were not willing to give up their slaves nor forego the massive profits of the slave trade. All of their moralizing and complaints against the king meant nothing in the face of the wealth they made on our blood, sweat, toil and tears,” said the Minister.
Even though he was the “conscience of the founding fathers of this nation,” said the Minister, Thomas Jefferson gave into the majority. Later Mr. Jefferson said, “I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that his justice cannot sleep forever.” George Washington, the first U.S. president, and slave owner said he saw Blacks later becoming a “troublesome species of property.”
“Their own words and deeds condemned them,” said Min. Farrakhan.
The Israel lobby, Obama and Iran
The Minister also used a significant portion of the broadcast to discuss the muscular influence of the Israeli lobby led by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and NORPAC who according to its website exists “to support candidates and sitting members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives who demonstrate a genuine commitment to the strength, security, and survival of Israel.”
This Israel-first lobby is angry at President Barack Obama because of his outreach efforts aimed at averting war with the Islamic Republic of Iran, much to the chagrin of hawkish government officials in America and Israel. Many elected officials, including many of the most vocal and influential critics of President Obama, have received significant financial support from the lobby.
The Minister appealed to detractors to “give peace a chance.”
“Shouldn’t we encourage the members of Congress to back President Obama and give peace a chance? Isn’t dialogue for the sake of finding solutions to problems better than trying to solve problems with war, and the implements of war?” he asked.
Despite his absence over the previous eight weeks, the “Farrakhan Twitter Army” continued to have the series trend nationally for 31 straight weeks. The Minister thanked them for their efforts. He also mentioned an important topic that would be discussed in future broadcasts—the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s teaching on “The Mother Plane” also called “The Wheel.”
“We will discuss this in more detail in coming weeks when we deal with The Wheel and the so-called unidentified flying objects,” said Minister Farrakhan.
