When Donald Trump posted false statistics suggesting Black people are the problem of America’s violence, he represented much of America’s sentiment toward Black people. Even though it’s been proven that the statistics and the alleged agency behind the stats were questionable, his views about Blacks, immigrants, and Muslims are deeply shared in the United States.

If his sentiments were truly based on facts, he would agree with Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings who told MSNBC that he’s more afraid of “White men” committing mass shootings than “Syrian refugees” committing acts of terrorism.

According to a New America Foundation report, right wing killings by Whites are more than those of Blacks or so-called Islamic jihadists.

As blatantly racist and outlandishly errant as Trump’s rhetoric is, it strikes a cord with much of White America. This is evident in poll numbers that still show him as a leader in in the race for the GOP presidential nomination. Americans are rooting for him and it might include that friendly co-worker or neighbor who’s outwardly appearing sympathetic to Black causes.

Fear Of Black Power

The “Black Problem” has always been a major concern for this country’s leadership. Black America has been considered a problem for practically every U.S. president. These are just a few that come to mind:

  • It was founding father Thomas Jefferson whose concern over slavery led him to believe this heinous sin would one day catch up to America. He said, "... This is so true, that of the proprietors of slaves a very small proportion indeed are ever seen to labour. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with his wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever ..."

  • During the famous Lincoln-Douglas debates, it was honest Abe Lincoln who said, “I will say that I am not, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the White and Black races; that I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of negroes, nor to intermarry with White people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the White and Black races living together on terms of social and political equality.”

  • President Richard M. Nixon told his chief of staff H.R. Haldeman that “the whole problem [in America], is really the Blacks … . The key is to devise a system that recognizes this while not appearing to ... .”

And now there’s Mr. Trump and others who feel Black folks are a heavy burden on this country. Clearly America doesn’t know what to do with this group of people they deem a problem, which is why they’ve resorted to exploiting and destroying Black lives, much like the biblical Pharaoh attempted to destroy God’s people while Moses and Aaron were leading them to freedom. The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and his teacher—the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad—have a proven ability to transform and clean up the lives of Black and downtrodden people and make them into something of value, but the greatest opposition of their divine work has come from America’s powerful.

“Woe to him that builds a town with blood, and establishes a city by iniquity!” Habakkuk 2:12

The hatred and mistreatment of Black and indigenous people is integral to America’s fiber. The very existence of America was established on the brutal genocide of Native Americans, empowered by the dehumanizing enslavement of Black people, and perpetuated by the exploitation of darker people all over the world. Is this the America that politicians speak of when they talk about making America great again?

Just as Southern Whites formed the Ku Klux Klan in efforts to bring America back to its true heritage of subjugating Black people, the rhetoric of Trump, the Tea Party, and much of White America reflects the same. This is the basis of America’s so-called greatness, and it’s also the basis of this country’s ultimate downfall as several prophecies warn of nations who will meet divine destruction due to their mistreatment of God’s people.

Islamophobia Nothing New

Just as America’s presence of darker people is deemed problematic, the rise of Islam is also viewed as threatening to the White power structure. History has proven that Islamic-influenced states have remained one of the greatest threats to European colonization and imperialism. As Europeans spanned the globe subverting the darker nations, their greatest resistance came from those populations where Islam was present. Because Islam defies White supremacy, it has always been a threat to White powers.

In his most popular research titled, The Rising Tide of Color Against White World-Supremacy (1920), White supremacist Lothrop Stoddard warned his fellow Whites of the problem that Muslims (whom he called Mohammedans) were to Europe’s efforts to colonize certain African regions. He wrote, “In so far as he is Islamized, the negro’s warlike propensities will be inflamed.” Stoddard’s description of the warlike characteristics of Black Muslims is based upon history that shows African Muslims fought harshly against European colonizers and enslavers.

Islam prohibits Muslims from allowing themselves to be enslaved or persecuted because Allah (God) says that“persecution is worse than slaughter” (Holy Qur’an, Al-Baqarah 2:191). In other words, Muslims are not instructed to passively sit and allow the enemy to persecute them without fighting back. Quite frankly, Whites don’t like that type of African because it conflicts with the very idea of White supremacy.

Conversely, Stoddard also noted, “In so far as he is Christianized, the negro’s savage instincts will be restrained and he will be predisposed to acquiesce in white tutelage.” He like others recognized that in order to subdue the darker nations, the White man must indoctrinate Africans using his passive form of Christianity in order to effectively control the people. With this in mind it is no surprise that Christian evangelicals are some of the main proponents leading America’s Islamophobic charge.

Dr. Eugene Genovese further explained why Muslims gave Whites enslavers their greatest problem. “Throughout the Americas, Muslim slaves earned a reputation for being especially rebellious. The political-religious ideology they brought from West Africa ill-prepared them for enslavement to infidels, whose power they were expected to resist.”
