What Michael Brown Taught Us About Our Enemies

On August 9, 2014, then Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson shot and killed unarmed teenager Michael Brown, Jr.

August 9th of last year was a watershed moment in the history of Black America. On that day a White Ferguson, Missouri, police officer named Darren Wilson strapped on his pistol and badge and went out to harass Black youth just as he was trained to do. With waning tax revenues to keep wars going all over the planet, the city of Ferguson, Missouri, was doing its part to enslave every Black male it could find. The city officials’ goal was simple: ensnare all Blacks in an inescapable web of criminality through the issuance of tickets, citations, fines, fees, penalties, and on and on. Michael Brown wasn’t having it anymore. When the badge-wearing slave catcher accosted him for his pound of flesh, he said No—Not today! Not ever! For that incredible act of righteous indignation, our Brother Michael Brown paid with his life.

His defiance and willingness to fight and die in the face of these ‘Blu Klux Klansmen’ finally exposed for all to see what Blacks have long suffered in the “land of the free.” Were it not for the iPhones at the ready and in the hands of the oppressed, the scourge of racist police brutality would have remained in the realm of “he-said-she-said,” with the badge-wearing liars forever getting the benefit of the American doubt. But now we are seeing everything that the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has said would occur, back in 1989 when he spoke directly to the hearts of our Black youth with these words:

“I say it again, the Government of the United States of America is planning an assault on the Black community, specifically aimed at our youth. And the conspiracy is so deep and so diabolical that many of you will not even believe that at this very moment that I am talking to you, your lives hang in the balance, whether you are living in Chicago, Detroit, Boston, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, or any city in America….Even though consciously you may not wish to agree with me, in your subconscious mind, you know something deeply wicked and diabolical is going on. Now let me, by God’s Grace, point it out to you.”

Police in St. Louis are a part of this diabolical assault on Black people, and on August 9, 2014, their killing of Michael Brown caused an eruption that emboldened the youth to cry out with one mighty voice, Justice Or Else! Last month, Minister Farrakhan came to Ferguson to pay his deepest respect to the new movement’s martyr Michael Brown and his family and the community, and they embraced the Minister with open arms.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Fruit of Islam (F.O.I.) protected peaceful protestors and discouraged violence and calmed emotions. So tense and unwieldy were the protests that White authorities appointed Black Captain Ron Johnson to take over the Ferguson operation. He stood up at an international press conference and for all the world to hear thanked the F.O.I. for their actions.

But something incredible happened after the Minister left St. Louis. The Anti-Defamation League showed up in the city to make its presence known. All of Black America would have expected its Jewish “friends” to offer not only their Jewish backing of the aggrieved Black Fergusonians but also their immense wealth and expertise to correct the now-exposed racist disparities in the judicial system. But the ADL had no intention of seeing Michael Brown’s family; nor did it meet with and counsel and strategize with Black leaders. The ADL, in the first act of its new director Jonathan Greenblatt, came to St. Louis to “honor” the police for “their role as protectors of the constitution and of individual rights.” These are their own words, and as absurd as they are, they are not the least bit surprising.

The ADL’s insulting action was not lost on the leaders of the St. Louis chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace, which issued a statement beseeching “all who oppose white supremacy to cut ties with the Anti-Defamation League.” The pairing of the Jewish organization ADL with the term “White Supremacy”—by fellow White Jews—may be disconcerting, but these words were carefully and accurately chosen.

But why has the ADL chosen to embrace so publicly the police department at ground zero of the Anti-Police Brutality Movement? Were not the liberal Jews at the ADL “close allies” of the civil rights leadership? Maybe it is about time that we grow out of our plantation thinking and acknowledge that Dr. Martin Luther King was right when he said, “I think we all have to admit that there are Jews in the South who have not been anything like our allies in the civil rights struggle and have gone out of the way to consort with the perpetrators of the status quo.” Amen.

It took a Black uprising to push the U.S government and White media into admitting that the police had developed a “culture of systemic racial bias” and were actually assaulting the Black community with violence and economic persecution. According to the Department of Justice, in 2013 alone, the Ferguson court issued 9,000 arrest warrants. Of these, 8,300 were for Blacks. Blacks make up 67 percent of Ferguson, yet account for:

90 percent of citations,

92 percent of arrest warrants,

93 percent of arrests,

94 percent of Failure to Comply charges,

95 percent of Manner of Walking in Roadway charges.

The cars of Blacks are twice as likely to be searched— even though contraband is found 26 percent less often. Blacks all over America understand that these racist statistics can be interchanged with any American city with any appreciable population of Black or Brown people. According to President Obama, “[W]e have seen too many instances of what appears to be police officers interacting with individuals, primarily African-American, often poor, in ways that raise troubling questions.”

Not so troubling apparently for the ADL and its wealthy White Jewish supporters. Eighty years ago, Nazi police racked up similar stats before the world intervened on behalf of Jews. But look who the Nazis are today. Turns out the ADL, under its previous director Abraham Foxman—with its $70 million yearly budget and his $688,280 annual salary—has had a long relationship with the police in St. Louis and with major police forces around the country. According to its own website, the ADL actually pays our top “law enforcement executives” to travel to Israel “to learn how Israel’s police, intelligence, and security forces prevent terror attacks.” One of their recent training sessions, they boast, “was composed of 41 executives and commanders from agencies including:

Federal Bureau of Investigation;

US Customs and Border Protection;

California Highway Patrol;

Texas Department of Public Safety;

Missouri State Highway Patrol;

Pennsylvania State Police;

Illinois State Police;

Louisiana State Police;

Rhode Island State Police.

The police departments of Philadelphia, Houston, Atlanta, Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Dallas, Milwaukee, Miami, St. Louis, and Washington D.C.

These are places which have high Black populations, and many, as in Ferguson, have long records of civil rights abuses. The ADL now claims to have helped train “more than 90,000 law enforcement professionals. … The officers in training come to learn how police enforcement supported the escalation of violence in Nazi Germany.”

No truer words has the ADL ever spoken.

But that is not all. Many of these American police departments have been trained in the very same techniques that the Israeli Mossad and Shin Bet have used to murder and maim the men, women, and children in apartheid Israel, or Palestine. It is a hand-to-hand martial arts technique they call Krav Maga, a Hebrew phrase meaning “contact combat.” Those familiar with the technique immediately suspected that Krav Maga was used by the White police in Baltimore on Freddie Gray, whose autopsy showed his back broken in three places, and his spine 80-percent severed at his neck. Rogue McKinney, Texas policeman Eric Casebolt, the vicious cop who planted his knee in 15-year-old Dajerria Becton’s back at that Texas pool party—“exclusively train[ed] in Krav Maga,” a fact that the media quickly tried to conceal.

This Israel-ization of American police has been accomplished under the approving eyes of the American Jews. The ADL has not only been training these racist police, but it has been arming them as well. Americans appeared to be shocked when in response to the Ferguson uprising, the police appeared kevlar-clad and night-vision goggled, toting M-16s, in their Mine-Resistant armored tanks.

And where did these military armaments come from?

In Congress, a little-known Jewish politician from Michigan named Carl Levin worked his way onto the Senate Armed Services Committee, the powerful body that crafts defense policy for the nation. As a Jew and a Democrat, Levin easily passed as a “friend” to the Black man, so his ascension to chairmanship was not alarming to the bamboozled negro world.

It is this Jewish Senator Levin who ushered in the so-called 1033 program under the National Defense Authorization Act, by which the Pentagon supplies military equipment to local police forces all over America. Back in 1990 (the year after Min. Farrakhan made his “unbelievable” prediction) the military transferred only about $1 million worth of equipment through this program, according to an American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) report. By 2013, under Carl Levin, that number ballooned to nearly $450 million, making America’s police departments the most militarized on planet earth.

The incredible explosion of advanced weaponry cannot be blamed on violent crime, which has plummeted in America, according to the FBI’s own statistics. In the last 20 years U.S. firearm homicides have declined by 49 percent, and firearm-related violence—assaults, robberies, sex crimes—was 75 percent lower in 2011 than in 1993. Yet, according to the ACLU, the deployment of military equipment by Special Weapons and Tactics Teams (SWAT teams) has exploded in America, and tends to target Black communities. Thus, “58% of paramilitary searches affected people of color”—in a nation that is just 13 percent Black.

When shocked White liberals confronted Sen. Carl Levin about his 1033 program after the Ferguson, Missouri, armaments display, his stated justification scapegoated the Black male:

“Congress established this program out of real concern that local law enforcement agencies were literally outgunned by drug criminals. We intended this equipment to keep police officers and their communities safe from heavily armed drug gangs and terrorist incidents.”

Levin’s “drug criminal” defense is as big a lie as Hitler used to tell, for not a single drug arrest was made in Ferguson during the police siege. Sen. Levin’s domestic military buildup—in the midst of an alleged economic depression for Black America—leads inescapably to a motive other than drug wars, terrorism, or crime—and right back to Minister Farrakhan’s 1989 warning.

And while the world demanded to know how in hell all of these armaments got into the hands of “peace officers,” the ADL hurried forward to “honor” Sen. Levin in December 2014 with its “Torch of Liberty Award.” The ADL said: “Carl Levin has embodied the Anti-Defamation League values of justice and fair treatment for all. He has become … a powerful voice for equality and justice, and a fighter for economic fairness.”

Never before have the “values” of the ADL and its submissive Jewish supporters been clearer: the police are the protectors of its wealth and prosperity. The ADL sees the poor working-class Americans—whom they have mercilessly exploited since slavery—as threats and terrorists. When the Jews ran their retail shops with their overpriced goods in our neighborhoods, they drained billions from our pockets and into their own. The big city police forces became the Jews’ own private occupying security force as they operated these parasitic inner-city businesses. If Blacks ever master their own economies as the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and Minister Farrakhan teach us, this police tyranny and the power of those who finance these repressive policing schemes would quickly end.

Well, the downfall of America’s systems of oppression is unstoppable. On October 10, 2015, The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan will lead our people out of America’s web of deceit, lies, and race hate—and out of the influence of those who nailed Jesus to the cross. He said, “They [whites] are not hiding their contempt and hatred for you anymore. The same way Israel is now slaughtering the Palestinians is how they are coming for you.” Thank Allah that He has gotten to us first.
