“Who Do They Say I Am? The Vindication of Minister Louis Farrakhan” is a very well written and helpful book; a tool on one’s journey to finding out what the world thinks of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Demetric Muhammad, who is an author, publisher, researcher and lecturer, has approached this book like scholars who have done exegesis of the Bible or Holy Qur’an.

As I carefully thumbed through the book, I couldn’t put it down. It was filled with testimonies from people all over the world Minister Farrakhan has touched personally through his words of guidance and truth. This book would be a great addition to your arsenal in the defense of this great man.

The book sheds light on rarely publicized testimonies of a host of respected and prominent people who laud the work, character and impact of Minister Farrakhan. It could be used to counter disinformation that may keep some from having a correct view of the Minister and his message. The author said if “product testimonials” can be used to market products that possess benefit for consumers, similar testimonies could be used to show the Minister in a true light.  This collection includes words of some who have expressed love or admiration for Minister Farrakhan, but may publicly distance themselves from him.

I was struck by words from Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and others expressing admiration for the Minister.  I was surprised that certain journalists positively compared the Minister to Dr. Martin Luther King and admitted the Minister has had an incredible impact on Black America. The author found an entry for Minister Farrakhan in an Encyclopedia of Holy People of The World.  So not only is the Minister respected as a Black leader, he is respected throughout the world. Minister Farrakhan’s love and dedication to the liberation struggle has touched some you might not expect: the rapper 50 Cent said if he chose a father, he would choose Minister Louis Farrakhan, according to the book.

The author said that he and his team wanted to be as exhaustive as possible with this effort.  “This meant that we had to spend some time, nearly a year, searching to ensure that we had made the strongest effort possible to unearth as many of these testimonies as possible,” he added.

Demetric Muhammad is a member of Minister Farrakhan’s Research Team. He has authored three books, “In The Light of Scripture, A Complete Dictionary of The Supreme Wisdom Lessons,” “When You Get Into Trouble Nurse from Your Holy Qur’an” and his newest title, “Who Do They Say I Am: The Vindication of Minister Louis Farrakhan.” He has been featured as a guest columnist in The Final Call and is an assistant student minister at Muhammad Mosque No. 55, in Memphis, Tenn., under the tutelage of Student Minister Anthony Muhammad.
