A Warning to Our Muslim WorldBy Imam Sultan Muhammad -Guest Columnist- | Last updated: Sep 27, 2013 - 10:45:21 AM
“And thus have We revealed to thee an Arabic Qur’an, that thou mayest warn the mother-town and those around it, and give warning of the day of Gathering, wherein is no doubt.” ~ Holy Qur’an, (42:7)
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad writes in Message to the Blackman in America, pg. 189, “There must be something that is wrong about the Mother city which all the scholars agree is Mecca.”
The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan recently posted on Facebook: “If Russia & others intervene (in Syria) a possible wider conflict could engulf the entire Middle East.”
The Muslim World (Ummah) is not united.
The outcome points to a gap that must be closed in the plain Guidance of the Qur’an and those to whom this life-changing Book was revealed. The loss of self-knowledge, Allah (God) and the Time is a result of deviation from Allah’s Guidance and Will—made clear to us in the Holy Qur’an and being shown to us in the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
What we see now is a warning from the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan to our Muslim world. He is urging us to unite and come back to the Guidance of Allah (God) or die.
When we are not connected to Allah (God) our hearts become diseased. This break in our connection with Allah (God) manifests with an inability to cooperate and unite as a united Muslim nation (Ummah). If we were connected to Allah (God) with understanding, we would find ourselves with the socio-economic strength necessary to bring prosperity and peace to society.
Why are we separated?
We must establish the rule of the Holy Qur’an, which is the rule of Mercy over war. The Revelation of Allah (God) is transformative and Life-giving. The Qur’an is our common Word of agreement—a comprehensive healing that brings the one who submits to it, Guidance out of the darkness of ignorance into the Light of understanding.
Allah (God) tells the Believer in Chapter (Surah), 6:12 to, “Say: To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth? Say: To Allah. He has ordained mercy on Himself. He will certainly gather you on the Resurrection day—there is no doubt about it. Those who have lost their souls will not believe.”
As Mercy is a law and Name that Allah (God) has written upon Himself, it is observable in His creation. Each creation is granted the Life and Love of God.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), in a Hadith Qudsi (a divine communication of revelation not in the Qur’an but in the words of the Prophet) is reported to have said,—“When Allah decreed the creation, He pledged Himself by writing in His book, which is with Him; ‘My Mercy prevails over my Wrath.’”
The Prophet (PBUH) has also warned of this deviation, “There will come after you (i.e. his contemporaries), people who will bear witness without being asked to do so, and will be treacherous and untrustworthy, and they will vow and never fulfill their vows, and fatness will appear among them.”
Has the Muslim world become hard on the Believers and soft on the enemies of Truth; fearful of the censurer – that rules by might and war? Have we taken the censurer as friends and protectors in place of Allah (God), His Messenger and the Believers? Have we taken liars and war mongers as guides over Allah (God), His Messenger and the Believers? Have we taken charge of our duty to Allah (God), our fellow Believers as protectors of one another and our Nation of Islam?
Let us seize the Promise of Allah (God), and take the vow of victory and the oath of triumph over the evils of self and the world of Satan by holding, “fast by the covenant of Allah all together and be not disunited.” ~ The Holy Qur’an (3:103)
“O you who believe, should anyone of you turn back from his religion, then Allah will bring a people, whom He loves and who love Him, humble towards the believers, mighty against the disbelievers, striving hard in Allah’s way and not fearing the censure of any censurer. This is Allah’s grace — He gives it to whom He pleases. And Allah is Ample-giving, Knowing.” ~ The Holy Qur’an (5:54)
