NOI Twitter army continues to grow

(FinalCall.com) - Under the guidance and inspiration of The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, the social media wing of the Nation of Islam has continued to grow with every broadcast airing on Saturday evenings.

Viewing and live tweeting during Minister Farrakhan’s series is the highlight of the week. And engaging people with intelligent dialogue and debate in defense of him is a must.

This has further sparked offline activities in the form of social media workshops and Twitter parties hosted the past few months by youth and young adults at various NOI mosques and study groups across the country.

Nineteen old Halimah Mahmoud was invited to present at Muhammad Mosque No. 25 in Newark. “After the twitter seminar I actually found that many brothers and sisters were on Twitter but inactive, the seminar was definitely a boost to get back on!” she said.

“Saturdays are always the best. It’s as if Twitter becomes a virtual Saviours’ Day because there are so many Believers and non-Believers tweeting. I am proud to be a part of the #FarrakhanTwitterArmy and I pray Allah enhances each of us in strength, courage, and perseverance to fight for what is right until the very end!” she added

In Washington, DC, Aqueelah Muhammad, 24,  stepped up to show Believers at Muhammad Mosque No. 4 the basics of setting up a Twitter page, proper use of hashtags, online security, trending and more at multiple seminars.

“The more we demystify Twitter the more soldiers will join the army. Education is key!” said Aqueelah Muhammad.

After concluding another semester at Prairie View A&M University, Omari Muhammad returned to Fort Worth and duplicated the efforts of his peers at Muhammad Mosque No. 52.

“Many believers have social media but didn’t know how to properly use it to help the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan,” said Omari Muhammad, 21. “The Nation of Islam is not just in the streets but now it’s all over social media. I’m also happy to see Minister Farrakhan trending every week.”

In a message to the NOI youth posted on his official Facebook page, Minister Farrakhan said, “The youth of the Nation of Islam are the greatest helpers I have right now because they are tweeting and retweeting my words and affecting people all around the world. I appreciate every youth in the Nation of Islam that is tweeting every week. I pray you will continue and I pray that we will increase the Twitter Army!”

With thousands of tweets and retweets being posted on Twitter during Minister Farrakhan’s weekly broadcasts, the hashtags #Farrakhan and #TheTime have frequently trended in the Top 10 nationally and internationally.

Hannibal Muhammad, 29, has hosted nearly ten Twitter seminars at Muhammad Mosque No. 32 in Phoenix for those eager to learn more.

“We have developed a little packet that shows you how to setup a twitter account, how to follow people, and start conversation,” said Hannibal Muhammad, who is assisted by his wife DeAndrea Muhammad and Hilario Muhammad.

“I truly believe it brings Minister Farrakhan so much joy to have so many believers on one accord to achieve the same common goal for one full hour. I love seeing our pioneers like brother Abdul Wahid Muhammad and his wife Sister Anniyyah Muhammad become so crafty with social media,” he said.

“I appreciate the social media much more now because I am more proficient in it,” said Phoenix Student Minister Charles Muhammad.

Asiyah Hanaan Muhammad said, “I have enlisted in the #FarrakhanTwitterArmy and am taking charge of my post (tweets).”

Similar workshops have also taken place in Wilmington, Houston, Winston Salem, New Orleans, Portland, Dallas, Austin and Detroit.

“We are growing and spreading the truth so effectively that the enemy is trying to find ways to slow us down,” said Jahleel Muhammad, 25, who hosted the workshop in the Motor City.

One of the major continuous attacks by the opposition is the dramatic monthly fluctuation in Minister Farrakhan’s follower counts. Who is behind this? Why is he losing followers after trending nationally and internationally for consecutive weeks?

Could it be the enemy fears his words reaching millions more via social media? How should we respond?

Invite your entire social media network to follow the Minister on Twitter @LouisFarrakhan, become a fan at Facebook.com/OfficialMinisterFarrakhan and a follower at Instagram.com/LouisFarrakhan.

Frequently invite your Twitter followers and Facebook friends to view and live tweet with us during his weekly series and post the past videos and articles. Do this daily to help increase the views!

Don’t miss one Saturday night of live tweeting with the Twitter army. We need all hands on deck. Host Twitter parties and increase your tweets even if you get put in “Twitter Jail.” It’s all worth it. (smile)

See you on the digital battlefield!
