(FinalCall.com) - The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan once again led the men of the Fruit of Islam into the streets of Chicago on a Saturday afternoon Nov. 17, visiting neighborhoods of Blacks and Latinos and stressing the need to curb tension and make peace. He also talked about the possibility of Black-Brown unity as a powerful tool for mutual progress. It was primarily Blacks and Latinos who reelected President Obama, the Minister noted, offering a tangible example of the potential impact of the groups working together.

As the Minister walked the streets on Chicago’s  Southeast Side, with the Fruit of Islam by his side and fanned out across other areas, young people and older adults had an opportunity Nov. 17 to hear from him, shake his hand, embrace him, take photos and hear words of love, concern and guidance.

The nearly 80-year-old Nation of Islam minister has continued to go directly into the community to encourage a lessening of tension and the men of the Nation of Islam across the country and in Canada, England, Trinidad, South Africa, and Jamaica have done the same.

The Minister’s tireless efforts to reach Black people, and youth in particular, are a testament to the quality of his love and heart and the serious time, which demands that Black America act now to find the way to peace and unity in the face of harrowing challenges.
