'Real leadership has to deal with truth. Real leadership must be courageous enough to tell the truth. Real leadership must spend its life seeking the truth, then have the courage to tell the truth regardless of the consequences.'
CHICAGO (FinalCall.com) - The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan weighed in on the most pressing issues of this year’s pivotal presidential election in part two of a message delivered a week earlier titled “Guidance for Our President and Our Nation.”

Speaking to a standing room only crowd from the majestic sanctuary of Mosque Maryam, the international headquarters of the Nation of Islam, Min. Farrakhan repeated his declaration that “radical solutions” are needed to solve America’s problems.

As long as America’s leaders continue to deceive the American people, the people will not be willing to do what is in their best interests to solve a plethora of problems, he said.

“Real leadership has to deal with truth. Real leadership must be courageous enough to tell the truth. Real leadership must spend its life seeking the truth, then have the courage to tell the truth regardless of the consequences,” Minister Farrakhan said. “Truth is that upon which the universe and everything in it is constructed.”

Things are spiraling downward because institutions of this world are rooted in lies and maintained through deception, but truth is the natural inheritance of every living thing, especially the “supreme life in the universe” which is man and woman, he said Oct. 21.

“Truth is what God ordains for every human being to possess in order to live the life that the creator gave us to find, explore and exploit the gifts that he gave us, and to put those gifts into service for self, family, community, nation and world.”

The Minister repeatedly referred to America using the personal pronoun “our” as in “our nation.” “In order for us to save our nation … I like that—our—because we’re not giving White folk one more day to claim this as yours exclusively!” Minister Farrakhan thundered as the crowd jumped to its feet and cheered. “When you got here, you found a country that you did not build! When you got here, you found a country, almost every square inch of it soaked with the blood of the indigenous Indians and the Blacks … of suffering people, who came to build. We were brought, we didn’t come here. We’re the only ones who didn’t choose America. It was chosen for us.”

Despite those circumstances however, Blacks were shaped into a “special people” to serve God’s wise purposes, Minister Farrakhan continued. The ultimate purpose for suffering will lead to redemption, rulership and honor, he said.

Given their arrogance, Minister Farrakhan expressed no expectation current rulers would follow divine guidance being delivered through him—but he wanted to be on record offering a way to avert their utter destruction and ruin.

Whites have overlooked Black people, but, God has not, said Minister Farrakhan. Whites have also overlooked the one God raised with guidance that could delay their doom, he added. “God has visited us, and He has chosen us to be His people and that He would be our God,” said the Minister. To prove His presence, God would raise one from among the despised and rejected and fill him with the knowledge and spirit to raise them to prominence as new rulers of a new civilization, he added. That one is the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad.

The Minister said his teacher, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, was “far seeing” in his analysis and description of America’s political landscape. In his monumental book, “The Fall of America,” he asked, “How much good have the two parties (Republican and Democrat) done for us for the last century in the way of freedom, justice, and equality? Regardless of what party wins, the die is always set against us (the Black people in America). Injustice, crooked politics, and the breeding of corruption under crooked politics have been practiced ever since Adam to the present day rulers. Adam was the first crook.”

The Minister noted the Honorable Elijah Muhammad was highly critical of Black politicians who use Black voters to get money and curry favor with the enemies of the rise of Black people. Although the book was written decades ago, these types of leaders exist today, he said.

“This election is one of the most serious in the history of American government, because either party that seeks the office of presidency is faced with the problem of saving the lives of the people of America. If the present party (Democrats) remains in office, you know the answer. If the Republican Party takes over, you should know the answer. There will be a lull before the storm. The storm can be delayed and every hour and day that it can be delayed is to your benefit,” Mr. Muhammad wrote.

The lie of American exceptionalism

America has to first face the reality of her condition, said the Minister, and it begins with challenging the concept of “American exceptionalism” which he described as an “exceptional lie.”

Going back to references first attributed to political thinker and historian Alexis de Tocqueville in the 19th century, American exceptionalism is defined as “the belief that the United States is different from other countries in that it has a specific world mission to spread liberty and democracy. In this view, America’s exceptionalism stems from its developing a uniquely American ideology, based on liberty, egalitarianism and individualism.”

As an ideological framework, the concept worked very well for the Whites of this nation, observed Min. Farrakhan. No one else was included in this offer of liberty and democracy and America is not an egalitarian society, because everyone does not have equal access and opportunity, he said.

America is not even democracy, he continued. It is an oligarchy, its rulers a small group “distinguished by royalty, wealth, family ties, education, corporate or military control. Such states are often controlled by a few prominent families who pass their influence from one generation to the next.”

America also displays aspects of a corporatocracy which “suggests an economic and political system controlled by corporations or corporate interests,” Min. Farrakhan said. “Are any of your families in the ruling group?” he asked rhetorically.

“God wants you to get along in a way that your own individual exeptionalism can be (made) manifest under a correct system of governance. Each of you is exceptional! God does not make mediocrity. The system makes mediocrity.”

An attitude among the former slave masters and colonial masters sees Blacks as inherently inferior and Whites as inherently superior, the Minister said. Anyone can master or rule a people that are sleeping, which is why Whites, whether in Africa or China or other parts of the planet, referred to the darker peoples as “sleeping giants.”

The ideas of White supremacy and Black inferiority must be eliminated, but old attitudes die slowly, and the darker people of the world are now rising, he said.

“When the world starts waking up, there’s a new reality that you’re going to have to deal with,” said Min. Farrakhan.

America: A global warmonger

Since 2000, America has been involved in military operations in Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Yemen, East Timor, Afghanistan, Philippines, Ivory Coast, Iraq, Liberia, Georgia, Djibouti, Haiti, Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Pakistan, Lebanon, Somalia, Libya, Uganda, and now Syria.

“We have liars for leaders,” said the Minister. “A liar is already a thief, and a liar already is a murderer.”

Since political leadership has lied about the condition of the country, many taxpayers are unaware that they are slaves to skyrocketing debt so large, future generations will be impacted, he said. Only Ron Paul, a former presidential candidate, had the courage to honestly talk about the debt and ending foreign wars, observed Minister Farrakhan. But, he said, Mr. Paul doesn’t go far enough as military bases should be closed and the rich taxed more heavily.

The U.S. dollar is losing its value as the Federal Reserve prints money “out of thin air,” said the Minister, noting the Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught once the dollar falls, the government falls right behind it. Not coincidentally, the Minister pointed out, the Federal Reserve Bank is next door to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, which receives millions in federal funding.

“Your government is a false government,” said Min. Farrakhan.

A way out for America?

One part of the solution to America’s problems offered by the Minister was curtailing federal spending, which balloons as the United States borrows to maintain its image. Minister Farrakhan said labor unions must also be willing to sacrifice for American-made products to compete on world markets.

“Everybody is going to have to sacrifice,” said the Minister. “More taxes, but fair taxes, all across the board. You’ve got to tax the wealthy.”

Regarding the so-called immigration controversy, the Minister argued every illegal immigrant should be given a path to citizenship—but not through military service and fighting foreign wars.

Though analysts refer to nearly 12 million undocumented “illegal aliens,” Minister called the reference a misnomer because there’s no such thing. “Dear Mexican brothers and sisters, you’re not an alien,” he said.

He then showed a map of what Mexico looked like prior to America’s land grab. It originally included Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, California, parts of Colorado, Wyoming and Utah before America went to war and took the land.

What kind of friend is Israel?

Minister Farrakhan advised a reappraisal of America’s relationship with Israel—from foreign aid to military support. America gives upwards of $3 billion annually in military aid, intelligence, and cash grants to Israel, he noted. American taxpayers never voted on such spending, but the politically powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee exerts awesome control over Congress and America’s elected representatives, said Min. Farrakhan.

History has shown any elected official who does not fall in line with the wishes of the Israel-first lobby suffers political retaliation, he said.

Despite America’s economy faltering, Israel still is paid, which is foolish, said Min. Farrakhan. “Israel can do all right without you. You’re dealing with some of the smartest people in the world. They really don’t need your money, but they’ll use it.”

Another problem is Israel’s bloodthirsty obsession with waging war on the Islamic Republic of Iran, said the Minister. Despite the fact that small nation of Israel, not a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, is the third strongest nuclear power on the planet, more focus is on Iran, which has no nuclear weapons capability, Min. Farrakhan said. It appears Israel is attempting to move its “big partner” America into another costly foreign war, he warned.

“If we Black people owned the media, owned Hollywood, owned the banks, ran the legal, medical, business and academics of a country, you would have to be an exceptional human being to run it where everyone could find their place in it and feel satisfied. You would almost have to be God. A righteous god,” said the Minister.

To have so many aspects of American life in the hands of one group of people is not in the best interests of the nation, he said.

To make matters worse, Israel has ratcheted up tensions and continues to flex its muscle in relationship to the American government. For example: the Israeli government and Jewish organizations have spied on American citizens and organizations. Israel has even tapped the White House phones, said the Minister. President Obama is depicted as an enemy of Israel, despite all that he has done, including delivering unprecedented financial, military and technology support. In 1967, Israel bombed an American navy ship, the USS Liberty, which resulted in the deaths of 34 Americans, but that incident was labeled “an accident.”

The Minister displayed photos of nations struck by America and Israel using bombs containing depleted uranium. The graphic photos, showing deformed children in Fallujah, Iraq, brought gasps from the audience, and moved some to tears. Most of the American people know nothing of America’s wicked foreign policy, said Min. Farrakhan.

More people are becoming aware of these actions, causing America and Israel to become isolated among the nations of the earth, and their influence is waning, he said.

“You are wiping yourself off the map,” said Min. Farrakhan. “You thought you had isolated Iran, but 120 nations came to Tehran in the Non-Aligned Movement. One-hundred-twenty nations sent several heads of state and government officials.”

To put the current U.S.-Iran conflict in context, the Minister recalled the clash between ancient Persia and ancient Rome. Ancient Persia today is Iran, ancient Rome today is America, he said. The two nations went to war, and Rome won a “pyrrhic victory,” meaning achieving its goal came at too great a cost. A war with Iran could enflame the entire Middle East, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, all of the beautiful countries of the region, the Minister said. All of the beauty, and that which was built with oil money could be destroyed in war, he said.

Farrakhan’s value and the price of freedom

The Minister also stressed again, this was the divine and prophetic time for Black people to go free, but a price would have to be paid. Speaking at the Uline Arena in Washington, D.C. in 1959, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said if 10 million died, there would be 10 million Blacks left to enjoy freedom, he said. Freedom and liberty is what everyone should be willing to die for, said Min. Farrakhan.

Jesus was very valuable to God, but he had to be willing to die to save the people he loved, said the Minister. “I am more valuable to God than every American that is walking,” he stated. “One man who is willing to stand for God is more worthy than a million cowards who will lay down on the cause of liberty for the people!”

“My value has nothing to do with me, it has everything to do with the way God made me to reach you! I’m in love with you (Black people), and I am willing now—before one of you dies—I’ll take the point. You want to kill somebody (speaking to his enemies) here I am! And I know that when my life is gone, all of you are going to die behind that because of my value to God and His work!”

“I say to all of you who love truth, stand on it. All of you who know that only truth will make us free, stand on it and if you love Allah and know that there is no God but Him, then live for Allah and when you can’t live anymore, then die in His Cause!” said Minister Farrakhan.

“Truth is worth dying for.”
