CLEVELAND -- The final day of the GOP convention was met with Donald Trump's address to the Republican National Convention in which he also accepted the party's nomination for president of the United States. "Trump hit a home run" said some GOP delegates. Many of who believed his candidancy to be the right turn for America, as he offers more jobs and ending terrorism, he boasted. "Safety will be restored in 2017."

His address appealed to some in the Republican party but it created additional tension for some who disagreed. According to APNews, President Barack Obama, during a news conference, stated that Trump's current vision of American "doesn't really jibe with the experience of most people". The President depicted the differences between what statistics show and what Republicans have sought to uphold as America's major issues, stating that "good decisions shouldn't be made on fears that don't have a basis in fact".

Mr. Trump took several shots at Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, stating that she wanted to "take away a little of the success that we had at this convention". He accused her of crimes such as terrorism and destruction that would not fit as America's legacy and that Obama's decision to authorize her over foreign policy is one that the President regrets.

Ending his speech, Mr. Trump made it clear his objective was to make America the greastest and strongest country that it was claimed to be before, only better. Despite roars of applause and encouragement, Mr. Trump never mentioned specific policy changes or exactly what his plan of action is to to combat poverty, homocide rates, and terrorism.

"We will make America strong again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again. And we will make America great again," Mr. Trump said.
