When I was little, I used to wonder why people liked pork so much. I still wonder. Why do our people eat chitlins, the intestines of a pig, and love it? The most valid explanation of why we eat pork is because that’s what our slavemasters used to feed us. Food made from the pig is the worst food that you could ever put in your mouth, and the worse part of the pig is chitlins. This so-called soul food is killing us. Soul food plus fast food plus radiated food equals death.

Soul food includes black-eyed peas, collard greens, sweet potatoes, cornbread, grits, hush puppies, cobbler, and sweet potato pie, among others. If you go to a traditional Black home in the South, this is what you’d be eating. I’ve lived in the South, specifically in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama, all of my life, and soul food is what many of my relatives specialize in.

The White man with all of his scientists will tell you that most of these foods are good for you. It may be good for some parts of your body, but it’s bad for others and was never meant for human consumption.

Soul food is high in starch, fat, sodium, cholesterol, and calories, then we wonder why we’re a fat nation. We wonder why we get diabetes, fall out from strokes, and suffer from heart attacks. Soul food has no renewing powers on your soul. In fact, it does the opposite. If you want some real soul food, then eat a bowl of navy bean soup with some navy bean chips and for dessert, a navy bean pie. Stop attacking your body with foods that are hard to digest and with foods that you weren’t meant to digest and your heart will stop having attacks.

Food wise, fast food is the order of the day. We either can’t cook or are impatient to cook, so we have to get our food fast. It’s fast food, but it doesn’t mean it’s good for your vessel. McDonalds, also known as McDeath, food can last without rotting for a very long time. A man named David Whipple found a forgotten 14-year-old unwrapped McDonald’s burger in his coat pocket. Guess what? It looked the same as it did the day he got it. That’s how you know when food is natural or not. Natural food rots and bacteria gets to it.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches that the woman is either a killer of her family or a life giver. We have become so lazy that we don’t “feel” like cooking. Food is a life or death choice and more often than not, we choose death. That is what “soul” food is. That is what fast food is. That is what radiated microwaved food is. Feeding your family fast and radiated food is like poisoning them. Did you know that radiation is one cause of cancer? We hold our remote controls, get on our iPhones, play video games, get on our computers, drive our cars. This exposes us to radiation. To top it all off, we intentionally put in our mouths radiated food! Good thing Master Fard Muhammad gave the Honorable Elijah Muhammad the perfect solution to battling radiation: the navy bean.

Family, we have to practice what we preach. We should not be overweight because it gives people a bad impression and representation of the teachings we share. If we’re raising the dead to life then we should be eating the right foods that give us life and we should not be eating foods that cause death. Get away from this so-called soul food; it does nothing for the benefit of yourself and your body. If you want to feed your soul then listen to the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Get away from fast food, because it’s filled with preservatives. If you think you need “fast” food, then you need to learn patience. Fast food is fast but fake. Unless you want cancer, along with other body problems, stop buying frozen food that you have to radiate from a microwave. And, remember this equation: soul food + fast food + radiated food = death. I pray you choose life.
