"My Dear Brother Jabril,

"May this letter find you in the best of health and spirit. I’m writing this letter to personally thank you, and all those with you, for this wonderful book Closing The Gap. I am sincerely hoping that those who would read this book will become enlivened by the spirit that motivated such a book.

"To the readers of this wonderful book, Brother Jabril has been my personal friend, brother, companion and confidante for 51 years of my Islamic life. He has dedicated the better part of his life to the constant study of the word that Master Fard Muhammad gave to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, as the means of the resurrection of an entire people and, as a force that would close out an old world of evil and form the foundation of a new world of righteousness, freedom and equality where all who live on this planet will live in peace and harmony; not for a day, a month or a year, but for an eternity.

"I thank Brother Jabril for the questions that he asked of me and more importantly, I thank Allah for forming the answers in my head and heart even as he was asking the questions.

"I thank Allah for putting it into your heart, Brother Jabril, to ask me these questions. I thank Allah for helping me to answer these questions in such a way that it might serve the purpose of closing the gap between the followers and their leader; but more importantly, in closing the gap between us and Allah (God). It is misunderstanding, distrust, and suspicion that have made the gap.

It is understanding and the purification of the heart, through trials, that will allow the mind and the heart, to read the words of this book and close the gap between us and Allah (God), and by so doing close the gap between us and his servant, and close the gap between one another.

"May Allah bless those who read these words. May Allah guide the hearts and minds of those who read these words, that we might successfully come through this ever darkening period, into the dawn of a brand new day."

After Minister Farrakhan’s word at the end of the book you can see in caps the words "THE END."

On the next page I wrote these words:

"THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, AND THANK YOU!"

I wrote those words above in big and bold letters. Under those words, I wrote these words:

"Several years ago, I took the time to study exactly what the words ‘thank you.’ means. In short, this expression means to express and show gratitude for a divine favor. And so, I thank each of you, who in any way, large or small, helped me to help the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan get his words published in this book.

"I thank all of you, in advance, who now know of this book and who will spread the news of its existence to others.

After that time, I started on the fourth and the last edition of Is It Possible That The Honorable Elijah Muhammad Is Still Physically Alive??? With a letter from the Honorable Elijah Muhammad on his escape from a particular death plot written in yellow on the front cover.

In the Appendix you can read:

"P.S.

"On June 5, 2006 I interviewed the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan on a number of topics. One of them was what he thought about my idea of placing the letter that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad sent to me back in November 1966, in this book. Here was his response.

"There is no witness stronger than his own witness of what he knew would come to him, except Allah. He told you in the letter that he would escape a death plot. He gave several instances of scripture that confirmed that.

"So our saying he’s alive is strengthened by his words and he confirms what we’ve been saying that he is alive in the face of those who say: ‘Well the Honorable Elijah Muhammad never said nothing like that’ or ‘I never heard nothing like that’ or ‘I don’t believe the Honorable Elijah Muhammad is alive.’

"Well here’s a letter that he wrote at such and such a time in a certain context. And he bears witness that he would be taken on the heel of a death plot. Then, in connection with this death plot, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad told you that, ‘If Allah had not shown me how I was going to escape, I would have no hope.’ "
