“Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six periods, and He is established on the Throne of Power. You have not besides Him a guardian or an intercessor. Will you not then mind? He orders the Affair from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a day the measure of which is a thousand years as you count.” –Holy Qur'an, Surah 32, verses 4-5

When one's mind is totally focused on his or her journey to God, He takes over our brains, our minds and our actions to act in accord with His Divine Will. We will then be guided to the ultimate Truth. We must accept from the beginning that we know nothing and that without divine help, we will never be rightly guided into that ultimate Truth. If one's goal is to unite with Almighty God Allah in everything we do and think, we will be guided into the ways of peace and harmony leading into gardens of Perpetual Abode beneath which rivers flow. We cannot question His way of Divine Guidance until we reach the end of our spiritual journey which is in reality timeless. Between life and the abundance thereof, dying is an illusion and a process in which life, in whatever form, is continous and leads to immortality. In the 32nd Surah of the Holy Qur'an, entitled “Al-Sajdah: The Adoration,” containing three sections and 30 verses, the term Sajdah is taken from the 15th verse where an actual prostration (as in prayer) is indicated and reads: “Only they believe in Our messages who when they are reminded of them, fall down prostrate and celebrate the praise of their Lord, and they are not proud.” In the footnote of Maulana Muhammad Ali regarding this verse, he states that the recitation of this verse is followed by an actual prostration (See Footnote 978 for further explanation appearing in verse 206 of Surah 7, The Elevated Places.)

Returning to Surah 32, verse 16 and to its footnote 1960c, we see where the actual performance of the prostration is in keeping with the spiritual disposition or condition of one's mind. “They forsake (their) beds, calling upon their Lord in fear and in hope, and spend out of what We have given them.” The Footnote to this verse reads: “The literal significance of the original words for they forsake is their sides draw away from showing, that they are restless in their beds. These are the foundations of the culture of Islam, passing part of the night in remembering Allah and passing the day in earning wealth to spend in the way of Allah for the benefit of humanity.”

The idea of Mxodus Coffee as a business originated with my coming into possession of a single coffee bean presented to me from the State of Chiapas. Never before did I imagine that I would be guided into the investigation and research of this commodity of this product into the production that would lead into the establishment of a business or a company named Mxodus. I, along with a few traveling companions initiated the investigation of coffee production in the State of Chiapas and has evolved multiple meanings in the process of our spiritual journey. Among those who have accepted the challenge of undertaking this journey from its inception until now have been presented with the opportunity for self-improvement and the potential of providing service and benefits to our communities, both at home and abroad.

We have introduced a quality, organically grown and roasted coffee with an appendage of educational and cultural exchange programs with the people living in the surrounding territories. Our message is one of universalities and prosperity inspired by the Divine Teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Our working business principle is to develop true business ethics and practices in relation with one another by cultivating higher levels of spiritual consciousness, good manners, and courtesies following the example of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and that of his Greatest Helper, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. From the beginning of this business venture, I have consulted with the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan reporting our progress and activities throughout the years.

When examining the word or name Mxodus, the second letter, X, stands out boldly and signifies to a degree the unknown. With the (X) standing next to a zero, we can imagine a circle that represents the universe, with additional letters added to the zero, (dus), we have the word Xodus (Exodus), which represents our journey in the wilderness under the guidance of our Spiritual leaders and teachers, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, and his companion and Greatest Helper, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. We are also reminded of Project Xodus introduced to the Nation by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan beginning in 1997 as another phase of our spiritual journey to God. As we produce commodities and go into businesses, we are to activate the principles of our spiritual mission in the resurrection of our dead people and communities.

At the beginning of the word or name Mxodus, added to the X, which follows (MX) is synonymous with the name of the country Mexico where the idea of coffee as a commercial product was first introduced, and is the place where the Honorable Elijah Muhammad first settled a part of his offspring in the Sacred Valley of Mexico. It is there where he left me with a working blueprint of his ideas for the development of a program of unification between the Mexican people, its government and the Nation of Islam. He wanted me to be a host to the Laborers when they would come. I was not aware of the great trials and tribulations that lay ahead in the implementation of his instructions following his departure 36 years later since 1975.

“Such is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty, the Merciful, Who made beautiful everything that he created, and He began the creation of man from dust.
