“And if Allah were to destroy men for their iniquity, He would not leave therein a single creature, but He respites them till an appointed time.  So when their doom comes, they are not able to delay (it) an hour, nor can they advance (it). –Holy Qur’an, Surah 16, verse 61

In last week’s article, we spoke about the people of the household of Prophet Muhammad and the People of the Bench (Ahl-al-Suffah) who comprised members of the Prophet’s family, including students, followers, and the companions of Muhammad, who were devoted to the study of the Divine Word of Allah as revealed in the Holy Qur’an.

They were also students of the Prophet’s Sunnah or Way, and tried to emulate his example in their every day practices and conduct.  One of these schools or lines of descent from the Prophet’s time has come to be recognized today as the Sufis.  The word “Sufi,” in part, is derived from the word Suffah meaning the People of the Bench who took their vows of poverty and were exclusively renowned for their memorization of the Qur’anic verses as they were revealed to Prophet Muhammad, (May the Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him).

When Master W.F. Muhammad made his presence known to us in America in the early 1930’s, He came under the disguise of a teacher, and was further identified as the “Prophet” in our Supreme Wisdom Lessons.  Under this disguise, he established up the Nation of Islam beginning in Detroit, Michigan, on the basis of a New School of Thought and a New World Order.  He laid the base for a new educational system and a distinct way of life unequaled to that of our former slave masters.  When he taught His Chosen Disciple, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, teaching him privately for three and one-half years, He revealed to him a New Body of Knowledge that had never been taught before. Yet, at the same time, He guided his footsteps in the way of the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad, (May the Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him), and organized our community affairs very similar to the way that Prophet Muhammad was guided by Allah in establishing his Ummah, or Community, and the Nation of Islam more than 1,400 years ago in Arabia.

Those who were his followers, like the followers of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, tried to put into practice that which the Prophet taught by his Example and by the Revelation of the Holy Qur’an.  This is exactly the way that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad guided me personally under his tutelage, as well as other members of his family and followers. He taught me most prominently to study Muhammad’s history and the Revelation of the Holy Qur’an as the parallel to what is taking place in this day and time.  This extraordinary learning experience was to be instructive in the development of our communities and society at large.

Turning to the Supreme Wisdom Lessons and Early Instructions to the Laborers which he left for us to study, we all become acquainted with our duties and responsibilities to perform as the civilized members of a New nation coming to birth on this Western horizon.  This assignment is followed by an intense study of six sets of lessons posing Questions and Answers and Actual Facts to all students which includes Restrictive Laws and General Orders.  All of this material is presented to the New Converts to Islam when they join the Nation of Islam opening the doors to new scientific discoveries and the laws of the Universal Order of all things.  These Divine Teachings lead us to a Renewal of life in the Hereafter.

According to Paragraph 2 of those Early Instructions of the Supreme Wisdom, we read:  “The past History shows that the First Examination of Laborers is made by the Apostle, whom the Laborers are to work with.  According to the Holy Qur’an, 59:7, the Muslims were very poor when they first started to Teach ISLAM and all contributions was given to ALLAH’S Apostle for him and his family’s support and what the Apostle could spare, he gave to help take care of the Poor Muslims that were unable to help themselves and the other part was given to those who were confined to the Labor of ISLAM and soon there arose an argument among the Hypocrites about the use of the money because they thought that they should share equally with the Apostle.

Statute of Saladin in the military museum of Cairo, Egypt.
Then ALLAH cast these Hypocrites out and punished them for the false accusation they had spread against the Prophet, that he was seeking to enrich himself and acting unjustly to the poor and needy.  And then, ALLAH told the other Laborers that HE would soon enrich all of them but at present, every effort should be to maintain the Prophet and his household.”

Turning to Lesson Number 2, Question and Answer 18 we read:   “What is the duty of a civilized person? ANS: -- To Teach the uncivilized people who are savage—civilization, (righteousness, the knowledge of himself, the science of everything in life—love, peace and happiness).”

It becomes clear that in everyday circumstances the fundamental laws of living a righteous and peaceful life is intended for all who wish to be civilized.  Is this study applicable to our open enemies as well?  The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad speaking to us in his 1974 Savior’s Day address stated that there are millions of White people in this country who know who we are but we do not know them.  However, at the proper time we will become acquainted with them.  In the body of writings of our Supreme Wisdom Lessons, certain members of the White Race numbering three million (3,000,000) are identified as “Moslem-Sons” who have studied Islam in secret orders or fraternities called Masonry or Masonic Shriners.

This history goes back to the time of the Prophet and the spread of Islam into Europe and the Middle East during the time of the Crusades and during the time of the Moorish invasion of Spain.  The Moors occupied Spain for eight centuries and Jerusalem, the capitol of Palestine, was protected under the military auspices of Muslim soldiers.  During these two periods, the Caucasian People studied under the tutelage of both Muslim and Jewish scholars who brought Europe out of the Dark Ages into the period of the Renaissance.  It was the Holy Qur’an, and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad that ignited the Torchlight of knowledge and investigative sciences.

When European colonial powers spread from Europe into the Western Hemisphere, such enlightened groups of secret societies who studied Islam became known as Masons or Shriners in the United States and other parts of the Americas.  Through the Divine Teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad from his Master Teacher, W. F. Muhammad, the Great Mahdi, the continuation of advanced knowledge and science is kindling the flame for a New Rebirth of Education and the politics of a New World Order of Islam.

“By Allah!  We certainly sent (messengers) to nations before thee, but the devil made their deeds fair-seeming to them.  So he is their patron today, and for them is a painful chastisement.  And We have not revealed to thee the Book except that thou mayest make clear to them that wherein they differ, and (as) a guidance and a mercy for a people who believe.” –Holy Qur’an, Surah 16, verses 63-64

To be continued.
