Yesterday, while a panelist on Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney's Hip-Hop Brain-trust issue forum, at the Congressional Black Caucus convention, I commented on how many were inappropriately describing last week's Los Angeles Times' series on Tupac's murder - which attempts to position the Notorious B.I.G. as the conspiratorial mastermind - as bad journalism and sensationalism. We have spent tens of thousands of words, over a two-year time, in an 8-part series, describing the real probability and evidence that the government is involved in destabilizing Hip-Hop culture and the industry that it has spawned.

WASHINGTON (NNPA)�State spending on prisons grew six times as fast as state spending on higher education during the 1980s and 1990s, a period of unprecedented economic growth, according to a report issued Aug. 28.  The report�"Cellblocks or Classrooms?: The Funding of Higher Education and Corrections and Its Impact on African-American Men"�was conducted by the Justice Policy Institute, a Washington-based public interest group.

Stand Up For President Robert Mugabe
The entire Black world should stand up for President Robert Mugabe.  Around the world people from Tokyo to Argentina, from Dublin to Auckland, New Zealand, from Canada to Mexico and across Africa have all read about Robert Mugabe.  The picture that is painted in the press controlled by America, Europe and some others, is of a 78-year-old leader who is a dictator trying to hold on to power.  It is said that President Mugabe is threatening and condoning the beating of White farmers in order to take their land, which is causing his people to starve.  These stories have been played and replayed. The Black world should consider the other side of this story.
