Activists plan protest march
WASHINGTON--Anti-war activists promise to march in unprecedented numbers on Washington Oct. 26 in opposition to the much-talked about U.S. attack on Iraq. Led by former Attorney General Ramsey Clark, the Washington demonstration and a companion protest in San Francisco are set to protest the chorus of calls within the Bush administration to take actioneven unilateral actionto remove Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. "The war against Iraq has been going on for 12 years," said Mr. Clark, who served in the Johnson administration during the escalation of the Vietnam War. "Its been killing scores of people every day, thousands some days, every day for 12 years. more

Can the issue of accreditation kill Black colleges?
Fighting to survive
Just one year after its centennial celebration, Louisianas Grambling State University, one of Black Americas premier learning institutions had at Final Call press time, until September 16 to submit acceptable audit records to a national financial accrediting group or lose its official certification. Loss of accreditation would be catastrophic and include the loss of federal funding, degree-honored programs and the displacement of thousands of attending Blacks with worthless transcripts.

The "Biggie's-Behind-The-Murder-Of-Tupac" Theory Is Cover Story Not Bad Journalism

Yesterday, while a panelist on Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney's Hip-Hop Brain-trust issue forum, at the Congressional Black Caucus convention, I commented on how many were inappropriately describing last week's Los Angeles Times' series on Tupac's murder - which attempts to position the Notorious B.I.G. as the conspiratorial mastermind - as bad journalism and sensationalism. We have spent tens of thousands of words, over a two-year time, in an 8-part series, describing the real probability and evidence that the government is involved in destabilizing Hip-Hop culture and the industry that it has spawned.

Africa & the World by Akbar Muhammad
Stand Up For President Robert Mugabe

The entire Black world should stand up for President Robert Mugabe.  Around the world people from Tokyo to Argentina, from Dublin to Auckland, New Zealand, from Canada to Mexico and across Africa have all read about Robert Mugabe.  The picture that is painted in the press controlled by America, Europe and some others, is of a 78-year-old leader who is a dictator trying to hold on to power.  It is said that President Mugabe is threatening and condoning the beating of White farmers in order to take their land, which is causing his people to starve.  These stories have been played and replayed.
The Black world should consider the other side of this story. more

'Bill O'Reilly is a Pompous, Hypocritical
Idiot'
I peeped this thing with Bill O'Reilly and I had a few 'Talking Points' of my own which I will share in a quick minute. However, I have to get a few things off my chest... When I first got wind of this, it was a few hours after I got a phone call from Chicago about a tape being played of Ja Rule verbally heating up on DMX. The war of words between those two has all but dominated the Hip Hop grapevine. This latest skirmish comes a week after Snoop directed some choice words at Xzibit and Suge Knight. more
