Black Congressmen seek facts on Iraq
from Farrakhan ;
oppose attack on Muslim nation
CHICAGORep. John Conyers (D-Mich.),
the dean of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), said the Black
legislators are all opposed to any proposed invasion of Iraq
that is being pursued by the Bush administration. He also said the
group would welcome a briefing by the Honorable Minister Louis
Farrakhan on findings from his recently completed Peace Mission
to the Middle East and Africa, including a visit to Iraq.
Minister Louis Farrakhan should be in before the Congressional
Black Caucus to give a briefing on his trip to share information
from an Iraqi perspective of whats taking place in the Middle
East, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. told The Final Call.

Zimbabweans
and activists praise Minister's remarks
WASHINGTONDuring his news conference of July 22, at the National Press
Club, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan painstakingly explained the
plight of Zimbabwe, America and Europes depiction of its leader
President Robert Mugabe. It proved to be a much-needed education for the
press corps gathered and even surprised them to know that the general
audience was more aware of the realities Southern Africans face. The
historical injustice of the land question has to be resolved; hopefully
amicably, began Min. Farrakhan.

Local
leaders back Muslims following clash with alleged drug dealers in
Springfield, Mass.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.Using a hovering helicopter, canine unit, state
troopers and city law enforcement, police arrested 12 members of Muhammad
Mosque No.13 for engaging in what they term a melee in a city
neighborhood infested with flagrant drug dealing, crime and violence.
On July 15, members of the Fruit of Islam found themselves engaged in a
physical confrontation with known drug dealers of the Eastern Ave. Posse,
said mosque officials. The F.O.I. were in Springfields Old Hill
neighborhood on a routine peace mission to invite the community to the
mosque.

Marriage in America: Sailing in troubled
waters
WASHINGTONFewer couples are choosing marriage, according to a new
report by the National Marriage Project at Rutgers University, and the
marriage rate is at a 40-year low. The report, released July 1, found
that young women increasingly are pessimistic about their chances for
successful marriage and young men are increasingly reluctant to commit
to marriage. The institution of marriage is in serious trouble, said
Dr. David Popenoe, report co-author and co-director of the National
Marriage Project.

'White
people want to wipe us out'
Researcher, author insists AIDS is a weapon of
genocide
I
was a germ warfare specialist for this country in the 1960s. When Black
people started dying of this mysterious disease (AIDS) in the early 1980s,
it looked like what we used to do when I was in the military. So I
investigated, and low and behold, I came up with all the signatures of
biological warfare. By 1986, I had gathered enough material to write an
article. It was called U.S.
Germ Warfare at its Best with Documents and Proof.
The owner of the Black American newspaper read the article, hugged me and
we cried. He said: Dr. Felder, (Im going to) publish this. I dont care
what happens.
