Does putting youth in prisons with adults make sense? What are the options?

WASHINGTON�It makes no sense to try youth offenders in adult courts, a new report has determined, suggesting that experts find new ways to reduce juvenile crime and its spiraling costs.
The report also alarmingly cites the disproportional confinement of Black youth between the ages of 10-17, a group that comprises 15 percent of the U.S. population in that age group.

Baltimore, Milwaukee councils endorse Million Family March

BALTIMORE�City council members proudly passed Resolution 215 endorsing the upcoming Million Family March (MFM). By doing so, Baltimore earned the honorable distinction of being the first city council to officially endorse the observance of the 5th anniversary of the Million Man March, this one to focus on family.
